Sony Ericsson T608 Warranty Replacement with LG PM-325?

[It's been a while since I've posted, but I'm back. Hello, friends!]

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to have their T608 replaced with the LG 325.

I've read some info from hat's websitte (Sprint PCS Info): http://www.sprintpcsinfo.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=3112&start=15

Has anyone her had success? Yes/no? What happened? Which store? When?

If you haven't tried yet? How come? Did you decide to wait it out until T608's are gone and all that SPCS can replace the phone with is the LG 325?

The PM325 is not available at stores yet. A few people have had success at calling CS, but these people have been through numerous T608's. As of now, T608s are replaced with T608s. If you want PM325 then buy one. Sell the T608 on ebay.

Guidelines from my understanding is T608 = T608.... and then refurb T608....

Well, thankfully every t608 fails the HP test [almost every time?!], so if you go through enough, maybe you'll get one out of sheer pity- I mean goto the same store, and keep getting them replaced....

A couple of lines on the LCD screen of my T608 have stopped working. Is that grounds under warranty to get the phone replaced?

They have the 7400 available for DHRP...which I was surprised...so the LG325 should be soon too.

I have to pick my rec 7400 up in a few minutes. The store fried my sons silver 5500 doing a software on it on Friday. My son wanted the Nokia 6225 and the manager refused...and offered the 7400. :eek: My son told me I could have it and he would take a Nokia 6225....So my 7400 I just bought is going back to the store...and I bought my son a Nokia 6225 from ebay brand new...for $90...Life is good.

speaking of "whiteness of screen" i just had a warranty issue because of that. why exactly does it do that?

I just took my T608 (number 3) in to the store because now it locks up half the time when I get a shortmail notification. They asked me if I wanted another phone, and I told them I had to have Bluetooth, and asked if it would be possible to get an LG325. They said they couldn't because they didn't have any in the store, but if my DHRP one starts acting up (and of course it will...the software in this phone is awful) to come back with it and they would swap it out for a PM325. Funny thing, I'm the second owner of the phone, but it came up in their computers as under warranty. Odd, but works for me.
Also, it was the head tech who was doing the replacement, so I'd imagine they'll stick to the PM325 for T608 next time I see them.

I went throught 2 T608's and had enough.... they are horrible phones and Sprint should make SE refund every customer for the purchase. Sprint credited my account for the T608 and had me purchase the LG phone, however, I know find out the BT is somewhat disabled in the LG phone. This will become an issue.

Yeah... SE dropped the ball when they stopped CDMA development. Oh well as we speak, the odds of getting an LG in lieu of a T608 is very very very slim.

SE probably realized that the carrier (verizon or sprint) would want to brand and cripple it's handsets so it pulled out. SE is excellent at giving the customers exactly what they want and they don't like carrier restrictions (SE released a tool to get around Vodafone's DRM on their voda-branded MP3 phones, as one example) so I'm not surprised they left Sprint at the altar. Go SonyEricsson!

Had nothing to do with that, more of economics... they let go their entire US CDMA team and then some.

I just got my DHRP T608 replaced. When this one starts screwing up (I give it a couple of days) I'll take it in, and then when the third one starts screwing up I'll take it in...I'm getting a PM325 out of this dammit! This phone is horrible.

Sprint has taken my third T 608 back for a full credit and I have purchased the PM 325 in hope of finding satisfaction with LG. I don't use the phone for data or imaging however, there seems to be some BT issues.

My LG is in the mail... Sprint confirmed it yesterday. They will replace the T608 with the LG phone. In fact I was told they know all about the T608 and want them gone.
