View Full Version : $5 Vision (sub), but what about the primary ?

I recently signed up my wife on a family F&F plan, with a VI-660. She got the phone and started playing with it and found the Internet/Vision features and started to read CNN, etc. I gather from this that Sprint already provisioned her phone for Vision, without even asking, and even though NO phones on this F&F plan are subscribing to Vision.

I then called Sprint, actually about another matter, but then the CS said, "Gee this 3rd line (my wife's) has incurred some Vision charges. In fact over $5 worth. Would you like to sign up for the $5 Vision service on this line ? The first two months would be free, and then $5/month afterwards. I will back-date it to when the line was started". I said "sure", figuring that at least it is a way out of the $5+ non-plan Vision usage that my wife already incurred.

So, no other phones on this plan have Vision. In fact the primary phone on the plan CANNOT get Vision as it is not a Vision phone. And now this CS says that this new 3rd line will get Vision as a sub on the plan for $5/month. What is going to happen ? Is this "okay" ? Or this Sprint going to flag this later and insist that it should be $15/mo instead of $5/mo ? (We would never get it for $15/mo, probably not even $10/mo, but $5/mo is probably ok. I doubt my wife will use it that much.) Is this a mistake or the correct application of the Vision for $5/mo for sub-lines rule ?

Bringing this back.....
I was in a sprint store yesterday and the guy there told me he could do this same thing too. I could have a (sub) phone w/ $5 vision and then the primary account have no vision even though its a vision phone.

Do you think this would work or would it get noticed at a later date?

I've got F&F family plan and we're trying the two free months of Vision (after which we'll probably cancel). My wife's on the second line, and when I asked CS about keeping Vision on her line but dropping it on mine (the primary, which would cost $15/mo), the rep told me it would only be $5/mo for her line, regardless of whether the primary had Vision or not. Looks like the pricing is separate for each line, according only to whether it's a primary line or AAP.

It is supposed to be $15 on the second line if its not on the primary but we are all to lazy to even bother with it, if the rep tells you it will be $5 then chances are extremly good that it will, sprint has yet to check vision when it validates the lines for proper AAP codes.

it's supposed to be $15 on the first line and the subs can get it for either $7.50 or $5 but most of the reps don't care and just setup the subs with the discount anyway. i usually give the customer the hook up and set them up with the cheap plan for the subs. but you won't get flagged or your service suspended or anything stupid.

Trying to get some of my sub lines unlimited text, since the primary already has it for free.

That would be nice ;-)
But I am wondering if there is a 'cheaper' vision pack than the $10 premium, that does not include the $5 download credit. I just want the web/email
