View Full Version : Error code C1 - Picture Mail

I just recently changed my Vision username (ok, bad idea, even the Sprint tech laughed and told me that I said it and not him, meaning it's a bad idea).

But anyway, now I can't get my picture mail account to work.

I keep on getting a C1 error and than a text message saying, "Denied", the email address is being associated with another Pictures account.

any ideas on how to fix this? I called Sprint a couple of times and they had no clue.

Try a VISION PROFILE UPDATE to update the info in the phone. If it doesn't work then maybe a manuel update of the picture token in the phone may need to be done. My 2¢ here.

Just don't let them reset IP basic on your account too many times cuz that can jack your vision services. I lost my PCS MAIL account that way and still couldn't set up a new one unless I change my username. I wonder if the provision system is at fault in your situation?

ok, basically bro...here is the thing. 1st you need to reset the camera token on your phone. then you need to call data support and explain to them the situation after you let the NAM change go into effect...if anything, call me tomorrow or SMS and I'll see what we can do

Ok, how do I reset the camera token on my phone, as that the same as "reset pictures" that's found in my security menu?

It looks my phone was never provisoned (sp) correctly with my new username, even after I update the Vision profile it still says my old username, on Sprint's end it looks like they have my new username. Does it normally take this long (12 hours?) something is slowing it down.

Just to add to that: I went into the data menu # whatever the ## is, and changed my username that way (using my MSL Code) and changed it to match what Sprint says, and when I do that, Vision doesn't work, so I had to go back to the old one.

ok ive had this error C1 problem for 10 months now! Nothing seems to be helping i changed my number and called and called sprint tech. I have a samsung MM-A700.. does anyone know what to do to help me??? Help would be very much appreciated.

well the first time i ever tried to send a picture on that phone it said it my account was going to expire so i renewed it

Main menu - settings - pcs vision - update profile then wait 1 - 3 min and your good to go I know its a little late on that but atleast you now know. lol.

none of those clear token | update profile | disable/enable vision things worked for me when I had the problem. I called in once to tech. support, got them started on the problem, had a case # or whatever assigned to it. Within two days, they kept calling me back, but everytime I missed the call back, and still no pic mail. I called on 3rd day, spoke to another person, and he found the error within 2-3 minutes, there was a problem with my name being attached to some other email or phone #.

i tried going to the sprint site and logging in my picture mail acount and when i try to sign on it says "your account is locked, please contact sprint support" i hate calling sprint because it takes forever is there a way i can fix this so i can see whats up with my picutre mail account?

if the store tech knows what he is doing, they can reset it, that usually clears up that flag

Updating the vision profile is not going to solve the c1 picmail error. the pictures token needs to be reset in the device.

not always...if you get the error from the pictures.sprintpcs.com website, that means your account is locked out due to repeated wrong password entries

Well, its standard tblshooting to check, and reset the sign on count if needed...

My brother is in the same boat right now. Too many wrong entries trying to remember his password and got locked out. Does this require a call to data support or will the flag go away on it's own after a certain amount of time?

He will have to call CS to have them reset it.

That sucks. I mean why lock out the account just because he tried two passwords combinations that weren't the right ones? I can understand locking it out temporarily but you shouldn't have to call in and go through a big ordeal on the phone to get that fixed?

Hmmm... well Deval says it's fixed now, but anyway... He only tried two and it locked him out? That doesn't seem right. I've entered the wrong password at least 4 times without getting locked out before. I've only been locked out once and 3 days later I still couldn't log in so I did what all people fear to do.

I called CS.

What make/model phone do you have? Do you know if anyone did a "phone reset" or a total phone reset?

There is no easier way to do this? like have a tech clear the login count or something?
