The a760 Has been at stores in chicago for the past two weeks.. the treo jus came in a couple days ago along wit the 7400

I've the seen the 7400 and Treo 650, but not the A760 here in southeastern MI.

The A-760 is being filted to stores based on inventory needs. (Translation, the store needs to sell certain other models through their stock first in order to get restocked with the A760.)

The Treo 650s are also filtering through in the same manner. (Mainly due to price and historical sell needs.)

It's not a bad phone overall... Actually all the phones that are out each have their plusses and a few minuses... it would be hard to choose which one to get...

The PMA740 should be out by the end of the year. We already have leather cases, BG cases, and holsters.

We also just got in the BG Bluetooth earpiece, it's quite nice actually. I might pick one up.

What do you all think about the batter life on the A760? 2.5 days of standby is about the lowest I've seen on any Sprint phone. I'm interested in the phone because I like the speaker, and I don't care about a camera. But I'm concerned about the battery life.

I think its 3 days, but I will opt for the extended battery when I get it plus with the extened battery it doesnt slip out of your hands as easy.

Well am going to the sprint store today to see if I can get this phone, don't know if they actually have it as they don't seem to pick up the phone, now most of you must like going to the sprint store I don't cause in new york these stores have a waiting list to talk to someone, next the reps, sorry to say don't have a clue, last time I was in the store I asked if samsung was coming out with a full duplex speakerphone and the lead tech say "what is a full duplex speakerphone" Oh boy, I told him to got to sprint users .com and they would explain. I said let them know your a sprint tech and you wanna know what a full duplex speakerphone is, I thought use might get a laugh if he did. If they do have the phone I can't wait to ask them if they could transfer my phone numbers I know the response already "sure sir it will be ready in 4 hours" Oh boy, Next comes the activation of the phone they guy will probably end up somehow changing my whole plan not that he wanted to but he will. sorry for the long post my fears of the sprint store are kicking in. Bar getting the phone I will give a full reveiw as I noticed no one has really given a detailed review on this phone wish me luck at the "SPRINT STORE, YIKES!

Well am back from the sprint store and NO phone they have no idea what am talking about" what is a full duplex speakerphone" thats when I knew I was in trouble. They did give me a hotline phone # for the store where they promised someone would actually answer the phone. What is confusing to me is it is prime xmas shopping time, wouldnt you like to get these new models on the floor for the busiest time of the year shopping, that would make sense to me. (Please don't tell me to buy it on line). I thought new york got everything first I guess not.

Also post about a couple of things if you can. I am looking for a phone with a clear earpiece for my dad - he's hard of hearing, says almost every phone I bring him sounds horrible. Also tell us how it is signal-wise. My dad lives in the sticks and needs a phone that will perform (my 7300 works at his house). TIA!

Hey Jive Turkeys! I just got the phone and I must say Im happy with it. I had the vm4500 but I did not need all the EXTRA STUFF like the video. Anyway, the phone is just a voice only. Im at work right now but I will say that the Speaker on this phone is so much better than the sanyo. It is full duplex not half. But I will holla back..

RJ - the screen, to me, seems sharp and bright. It's a much nicer screen than was on my old 8100. Had the phone for 2 weeks, haven't dropped a call yet. I was losing calls dfaily with the 8100. Speakerphone is clear, works well, pretty loud on the loudest setting. My only complaint is that the vibrate feature isn't outstanding, but I carry the phone in a leather case, so that may have something to do with it as well. It is just hard to feel it vibrating in my pocket. I don't keep the ringer on in public because hearing other people's phones ringing all the time is a pet peeve of mine....
