took talking to 2 agents and he finally looked it up and showed it in stock and so I placed the order for overnight shipping and got a order number. BE PERSISTENT I think most people will not even look it up and tell you they are not availible. He didnt even know they would be availible today.

Off-topic/unrelated question: Since my current phone is out of contract, but its a newer phone- I don't think I would qualify for the 18month upgrade program- would it be easier to get the LG as a new line of service and then switch my exsisitng number to it? Is that even possible?

Based on all of these reports, I just called to order mine. Success!

At first I was only told that the phone would be released tomorrow. Then I said, "No, I've heard from a few people that have actually been given order numbers." So the saleswoman (Charlene, very curteous) put me on hold to check. She then came back and asked me if I was a current customer or a new one. When I said "current" she came back and said it was available and took my order. I opted for overnight shipping, the total with taxes and all is $253.87.

I'll see what happens tomorrow and report back.

Man, I guess it's time to start checking which numbers I have in my A500, but not in my Palm... I don't think the A500 will be able to sync up with the 325, so I'll need to manually re-enter my contacts. :eek: However, I should be able to dial FROM the Palm using Bluetooth, right? *finally*

Anyone know if LG uses the same sort of setup as Samsung, with "groups" that can be assigned ringers? I like to have one ringer assigned to business contacts, one for friends, and one for girls (this way I can set that ringer to silent for specific groups that I don't want to hear calls from).

It's like speakerphone, but you're on "mute" (the mic is turned off). You can listen, without holding the phone to your head. While not as nice as having speakerphone, it's better than nothing, especially when put on hold for a long time.

Call me crazy but I just purchased my pm325 from tele sales. 251.00 rep stated should be delivered tomorrow via ups. I will get a tracking number in an email. I know I just bought my mm7400 but just couldn't resist this phone besides I already purchased my bluetooth headset. I guess I will be returning my mm7400. I'll start then. OMG, MY PHONE ISN'T SHIPPING OUT TODAY AND WON'T BE HERE TOMORROW :eek: !!!!!!! Okay, that was fun :hee: . Anyway, it's true that my phone isn't shipping today. I called to check the order status and for some reason the guy said it wasn't shipping because my order was waiting for a back ordered rebate form, what? He said I got the rebate because I agreed to a new 2 year contract, what? Hmmmmmmmkay. I don't recall doing that and they already checked and I don't qualify for the 18 month exsisting customer rebate. He said that he'd separate the order and my phone could ship today (highly unlikely) but more likely ship tomorrow and the rebate form will ship whenever they get them. Looks like I get $150 off even though I don't qualify for any rebates, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Same here. I can pick up the rebate form from the Spint Store across the street from me, so he split my order, too. How messed up is Sprint that they'll hold a hardware order to wait for a PIECE OF PAPER to ship with it?

Overall, I'm happy with the customer service people, but if not for these posts, I'd be waiting and waiting for my phone with no idea what's taking so long. How irate will some (non-SU forum) people be when they find out that their phone was delayed while waiting for a rebate form?

I would most definitely like to see a review, especially of the Bluetooth performance, before I buy this phone to make sure there are no major problems with it. Quality of this phone will make the difference between me staying with Sprint for (at least) another 2 years, or leaving for another carrier. I'd hate to sign another 2 year contract just to find out Bluetooth is crippled or has very poor performance.

Available to CURRENT SprintPCS customers first. The website can't really filter out current customers from new ones.

If you call 1 800 480 4727 they can have the LG 325 sent to you in 2 to 3 days. You need to have a credit card to pay for it, and some restrictions apply for rebates, but you'll have your phone.

I'm sure there will be at least a few problems, but the phone is orderable for Business customers on new activations as of today. We normally get things a few days before telesales and about a week or two before the stores. We've had the 650 for a couple weeks.

My local Radio Shack had the dummy model available to touch and handle today. The dummy 325 wasn't yet out and set up on display, but they had gotten it yesterday (Wed) when the Sprint rep visited them, they said when i called, so I rushed down before they closed this evening.

My impresssions based on the dummy model:
- damn it's small when it's slid closed; think small clamshell foot-print wise but thinner; overall I felt the size is very attractive.
- the screen is substantially recessed below the surface of the keypad and rest of the phone. obviously it must be so considering the nature of this particular slider design, but the gap was greater than I expected; upside is that the screen will arguably be better protected than on a phone like my damn 6225 which has a domed screen cover that sits proud and takes all the scratches.
- the keys have virtually no gap between them but are sloped (high at the bottom and low at the top of each key); I felt it was not the simpliest or most error-free keyboard, especially for larger thumbs. However, I did think it would be easier to "blind dial" than it is with my 6225.
- there is a rubber plug over the connector at the bottom and a separate barrell-type rubber plug for the power jack that is next to the serial connector

Not sure there is more I can say based on playing with the dummy model.

Keys will take some getting used too. Either that or I've gained weight. Reception is fantastic. Old phone, I had 2 bars in my office. I've the full 5 in the same location. Sound quality is great, screen is pretty good.

I had to do the same thing Pumice, but I did it at 12:30pm eastern time. I called back two hours later to get tracking #, no go. They said the order still hadn't been processed :eek: . I called again at 4:30pm, still not processed! I call again at 6:30, it's in final stages of being shipped but is not going to go out on the 2nd :( . I call this morning at 9:30am eastern, got tracking #. WTH, it shipped yesterday and is in route for delivery today from my UPS hub. Stupid people in order support. I couldn't get one straight answer from them yesterday. I'm leaving Monday morning and won't be back until Thursday and UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday. I wanted to be able to intercept the phone before it was placed on truck for local delivery. I'm trying to have them reroute it to my work place so it will be in my hands today (crosses fingers, toes, legs, arms, eyes).
