View Full Version : Bans Lifted
To all that have come back... join me in saying "Thanks, Dave".
This new system of warnings and bannings will help some of us have a better shot at long-term participation in this forum, rather than being arbitrarily banned for one mistake...
But it will take us as users not abusing the system in order to make it a success.
Friendly banter usually turns sour when someone reads a post and "reads into" the attitude behind it. If you see a thread going south, don't add to the problem. And finally, remember this is an internet forum (credit to Arpy) and the sheezit doesn't really matter.
I'm glad to be back as myself. Welcome back to everyone else.

I didn't realize you were banned too. But it's nice to be myself again.
Now, where's Tripod?

I don't think SU would survive his (tripod's) rants! So, I hope he stays at HOFO where he seems happy to be currently.

was it worse than my endless off-topic rants before i was banned?

It was like a Freddy Kroger, "Nightmare On Elm Street." movie where you wished somebody would wake you up, type of worse! I, had many fights with a :bang: bad kitty that was here back then.
a bad kitty :lmao: that's funny... that would make some good reading material, are the threads still buried in here somewhere or are they gone?

Many threads were deleted by Dave and other mods at the time. Do a search of his name and see what pops up? It may give you nightmares, you have been warned! ;-)

ahh... well it probably wouldn't mean much to me since i wasn't here... anyway i'm sure that one kitty is happy at his own site.

Tripod is someone that we definitly don't need on these forums. He didnt just burn both ends of the stick, he burned the whole damn tree....lol He is too closed minded, and he appears to have "Tunnel Vision" . It's like you had to see everything how he seen it, and it wasnt just one person. It's like everyone had to see everything his way. Oh well. I tghink that is the beauty of the people on SU, is that everyone is different and different popints of view, and it's nice to hear someone elses opinion or way of doing things cause it can help others as well.
One other thing is that he just didnt know how to LET IT GO. He didnt know how to just walk away.
To each his own I suppose

Probably not. I think it was natural to wonder if certain people would come back if bans were lifted, but I don't think we need to rehash the past, especially if it was negative (which it sounds to be).
If anyone does return like that, I'm going to try not to assume anything.

That is probably your best bet.

AGREED. The most positive changes on this board are driven by the users and our attitudes, much more so than administrative changes.
