VM4500 Camera Pink Screen Error

Please help!

I used my camera the other day, and then an hour later I went to take another picture (at the hospital of my newborn daughter :) ) it had an error.

I goto take a picture and the screen is completely pink, no text, nothing. Same with the camera video recording (but the camera has the display, just the picture is pink).

When I take the picture nothing happens but it jumps back to the camera menu. It never takes a picture. Even if I just hit the camera button or hold down on the side camera key it'll jump back to the picture menu.

I asked sprint advisor on phone he said he heard of it before but didnt know how they fixed it. He said take it to the local sprint store, but I dont want to reset my phone or wait for a replacement a 3rd time.

My camera did this 2 weeks ago after 10 happy months with the 4500. They swapped it out, along with my phone book, and all is well. In fact, my phone would lock up if I used the camcorder, and still pictures would be tinted.

Did they try to test it to see if they can fix it? I'd hate for them to just shelf it and do another swap... I had a blue vm4500 that took *8 MONTHS* to get a replacement for the silver vm4500. Worked for two months and now I need to wait again... no way :(

I just took my 5500 in yesterday to the Sprint store to have them fix a broken hinge. Well, that worked beautifuly, I couldn't believe that I waited 6 months to get it fixed. However, when I got back to work, the camera and video screen both come up with the pink screen too. I took it back, and they said they have to order me a new one. I'm kind of bummed, because I have a silver one and they said they can only get the blue ones right now. I'd love to see if the camera can somehow be reset? Let me know what you find out.

A rep there said they didnt do anything on the phone that was broke, but he said to try to reset the pictures by going into menu then pictures then reset camera. It saves all your pics/video but resets camera.

It didnt do a damn thing on my phone :(
