I'm actually thinking about keeping this and returning the ppc 6601. The screen is gorgeous..even though it is smaller than that of the ppcc 6601, it is much better. The web browser is fantastic. The phone is good..reception slightly worse than 6601 but not that much a difference. The camera is great for taking email pictures..the camcorder is decent. The memory issue is disturbing, but not the disaster people are making it out to be, especially when there is a fix coming out. The keypad on the treo is far better than the one for ppc 6601...you can write all you want without your fingers getting tired. I will use this a couple more days before I decide which unit to keep..but it looks like the treo may be the winner.

I also like that the Treo can be tethered using BT or USB and doesn't get hit with extra charges for Vision like the 6601. I'd also put a lot more faith in Palm One getting a firmware release out for the memory issue before Audiovox fixes the earpiece problem on incoming calls.
I got my Treo 650 yesterday afternoon from P1 with the Free Jabra BT250. There is something bugging me. There is a flashing icon of a * on the upper left corner of the screen. Every once in a while (Maybee every 5 or 6 minutes) there's an alert tone. I checked all the alarms that I could think of and can't find the culpret. I did see a post about it on treocentral.com a couple of weeks ago but I'm too tired to go look right now. Anybody aware of this?
I just now figured it out. Held down the center button of the 5-way and screen shows that a Versamail "scheduled get" failed. Checked the box and hit clear. No more alert and the * is gone. Now I can sleep, whenever I actually do go to bed...

You also could have just clicked the *, and it should have took you to what the alert was. In most cases anyway.

I just activated my Treo 650: I've used it all day and I LOVE IT!
