well i got my 7400 and i need some help.the factory ringers are no louder than my 7300.what are AAC ringers, how do i get them and is there a standard ring tone with AAC ringers? i heard that the AAC ringers are loud. then readylink button on the left side of the phone.my 7300 if i pushed it it with the clamshell closed it would automatically redail me to my last contact.the 7400 the first time you push the r/l button with clamshell closed it says say number of contact ,you have to push it again the redial your last contact.is there a way to disable thay feature so it works like the 7300.thank you :)

No one has this phone hardly man. I just picked mine up, but don't have anyone to RL so I have no idea how to use it yet. As for the ringers, mine are pretty loud, could be louder but they're pretty good.

The ACC ringtones are very loud and clear. By the way the reason you dont get your questions answerred quickly is because you create new threads instead posting in the existing 7400 threads that has like 50 posts in them ( Mostly all owners of the 7400) :D ...Just a little advice to get your answers quickly...

Now the only site I know of that supports AAC ringers right now is the DDN (www.d-d-n.com). However someone did a FAQ on how to create your own ACC ringers at this link

www.kivers.com/vision

Lastly there are about 15 threads discussing the same questions concerning the 7400. You might want to read thru them if you havent already to get some of your questions answerred.

I've created like 7 ACC ringers but for some reason there are 2 particular songs that refuse to come thru on my phone. Im getting some error note when i view the link from kivers. Anyone have a clue why these 2 songs might be doing this? I havent had any probs making & sending them til this. =/

If I can find a CON with this phone it would be the memory available...I have 7 ACC ringers on it and my memory is almost full ...ACC ringers are soo large 220k

Yea i know what u mean msrandall. But im getting this error right before they tell u its not a trusted file from Sprint do u want to proceed-yada,yada. My error is right after i get the msg from Kivers with the link. It only seems to be these 2 songs cause i did another one & it went thru just fine. I have no idea what it could be, cause i converted all of them the same way?

Regards,Michael

So on this site there are all the AAC ringers I would want? I don't have to create the ringers myself? So its worth the $2 a month? Thanks.

I dont know you to know what type of music you like ...but if it is rap, r and b ..yes...I do a good majority of the ringers....You maybe able to browse the site ...I know you cant preview but look at it to see if it has what you want...Also it has a tool for you to create your own.. :D

I know what you mean about the errors, I have had a few myself, this is what I learned. Make sure when you select the file to upload, it is saved with no spaces in the file name, if there are spaces the link kivers sends to your phone will be incomplete and it will not go through

i created a few of my own ringers last night on d-d-n, they turned out loud and clear.

I uploaded a MP3 format song to d-d-n.com website and limit it to 30 seconds. After that, I click send the ringtone to my phone. It took at least 15-20 minutes just to get a notification by a text message on my cellphone that provides me a link to download that ringtone. When I download it to my phone all I hear is silence. Can someone tell me whats going on?

Can someone tell me an easier way to create AAC ringtones?

M2Audio? :)

I've been playing around all day with making ringers. I followed Deval's FAQ using the dBpoweramp encoder step by step and it worked great. I also subcribed to D-D-N.com and used their tool to upload. This also works great and although it is a little slow it is self explanitory and a lot simpler in my opinion. The trimmer device is real basic so I just play my songs on windows media player and find the 30 seconds of the song I want to use as a ringer. I note the times then go back and type them in. I am a musician who does some studio recording and am very picky about sound. Using the dBpoweramp encoder I wasn't satisfied at the low bitrate and had to use 64 to sound good. However the D-d-N site I used the 56 rate and I think it sounds great. I couldn't be happier with the 7400 ringer sound. I was quite depressed for a few hours when I first heard the ringers until I realized the plastic was still covering the speaker. Now it sounds much better ;)
