I live in Atlanta but I'm in Ithaca, NY at Cornell. I miss my Atlanta news and the lineups of the Atlanta channels. Can anyone explain how I might be able to stream the channels in Atlanta over the internet to my computer at Cornell? I figure it'd involve installing a tuner card in a computer at my house in Atlanta, but I haven't figured out how I would stream the content over the internet for me to watch. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wow. Last time I post a computer-related question in here. What a disappointing response.

You can host a Media Server from Windows 2k or 2k3 by using a tuner card and IIS. I'm not sure of all the details, but I've read forums where people have set up media servers where they can stream TV and video across their network to their PDA, etc. Its a little involved getting it all situated, and you're going to want to secure access to your server. If the station found out that you were streaming their channel, you could get heavily fined by the FCC and the station for advertising rates, etc. If you do it, be discrete, and don't let anyone else in.

I've just changed it so it does, now.

Also remember that this website is designed for mobile phone discussion... so you may not get off-topic technical help on all topics. :)

Thanks! With 16,370 registered members (as of a few minutes ago), thought there'd be a few ppl who'd have a few suggestions. :D This is still the best place to go for anything Sprint though!
