the Jeopardy answer for this thread is:

"What is another form factor that no Sprint phone will ever take?"

That phone is like $500 with contract, for phone only, no PDA or anything. Admittedly it's a nice phone, I've seen it, held it, played with it. The quality and reception are amazing on it, but I don't like the keypad so much, it's a little weird to get used to. My other big complaint is the screens, both of them, not as good, imho, as the ones they use in the V505 or V551. Plus the outer screen is really bad, hard to see in some lights.

Oh, and for the phone that has everything, the one thing it lacks that most gsm phones above $200 have today is EDGE data, and that's kinda a let down for a $500 phone.

oh yeah, you're definitely paying for "fashion" here. but this phone is coming out soon, and I'll be very interested in it.

I fell head over heels for this phone when I saw it listed on Phonescoop and Moto's site... but last night I was at a friends house and noticed my friend's roomate was holding a RAZR. I calmly asked to see it, holding back urges to run and steal it, and was immediately underwhelmed. *Definitely* not worth going to Cingular for! And the keypad, which looked amazing in pictures, was a real letdown. The backlighting was an ugly teal-green-blue and it was hard to dial with. It was really small but didn't feel right up against your head. Talk about a buzzkill . . . not to mention the metal peices on the phone were all different shades and didn't match well at all.

She said she liked it, but that I was the first to notice it was anything special. She works at a Cingular store and apparently won it in some employee drawing -- got it two weeks before it came out. Definitely tiny, but I really don't want it so much anymore though.

I think someone mentioned the RAZR was like a concept car - uses cutting edge technology and it is beautiful to look at but it just doesn't perform well in the real world.

I'm trying to get this phone (http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=901&source=BROWSER) myself. No QVGA screen but I'm over that already. Besides, no other phone could compare to my current phone's beautiful CGS display so why try? It does have MS pro duo slot, MP3 player, 1.3MP cam, video, and BT.

If Cingular can get it for under $450, it will be great ;)

i've read $100 less than the RAZR, so $399 with a 2-year contract. or something like that....

The V800 is also a GSM phone with support for UMTS(WCDMA for use in europe and Japan).

The phone is 500 at cingular with a 2 year agreement. I love the look. I have downloaded the commercial of the phone and everything, but the price is the real shocker. 500 with no rebates! http://www.cingular.com/

Got to touch the phone yesterday. Was not impressed at all. The button layout and quility felt horrible. From the commercial and pics this was a phone i envyed. After touching it i would never get if they made one for sprint.
