Okay, i'm pretty sure someone has done this, and will be able to explain it to me.

I would like to use my A660 under linux (knoppix distro), but for some reason, when i try to dial under linux with kppp, i get "modem ready" and then it times out.

Can anyone offer me any insight as to how to get my phone rolling as a modem under linux? any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm also having troubles getting the A660 to work with Debian sarge (2.6.8-1 kernel). When I plug the phone into the USB port hotplug recognizes the device and assigns it to /dev/ttyACM0. When I open minicom and try to send the "AT" command to the phone, I get no "OK" response; however, if I send the phone "ATD#777" from minicom, it will dial-up and open a connection. The problem is the connection terminates itself after about 15 seconds. I can't get any of the commonly published ppp scripts to work (or wvdial) because the phone won't return the "OK" after the "AT" command. Please tell me somebody has figured this one out...
