Hey everyone. It took forever, but it would appear that my site has finally compatible with Samsung and LG phones, making it compatible with all Sprint phones I guess. I just finally finished converting my entire site, OMG. With about 600 images and ringers, there's bound to be something's I missed, so please feel free to test out as many things as you can and give me feedback, good or bad.
I also got a new URL (the old will work still too), you can now go to http://www.dbringers.info/ and download until your heart's content. Hopefully there won't be too many more problems. And of course, the site is still and always will be free! Enjoy.

ah, i'm sorry. its not a WAP wireless web site. At this point it can only be viewed from a computer. Sorry about the confusion

in the future yes, i do plan on doing it sometime down the road. for right now though i'm just getting all phones to be compatable...which i think i just acheaved today

Well,I sent 2 ringers,Procol Harem & lenny Kravitz,and 1 image,flag1,and I got an Error# 906, INVALID DESCRIPTOR on all 3 of them.Any idea?

i sent paul simon's "you can call me al" to my phone and after receiving the notification of it's arrival, i clicked on the link and my phone went to a screen that said "initiating" with an image similar to arrows moving beneath it...
and it stayed like that till i finally closed my phone after twenty minutes.

hmm, ok. I think I know the issue. The Content-ID was set the same as the Content-Naem, and it might have to be the same as Content-Descriptor. When I converted all the URL's in the GCD files i thought I wouldn't have to do that. Anyhow, I re-did Procol Harem - A Whiter Shade of Pale (http://www.geocities.com/donblay/sprint/ringpages/ProcolHarem-AWhiterShadeofPale.htm) so if you could try this one know and let me know if it fixes it. Thanks in advance for trying this out.

Actually, that one is different...i've never heard of that problem happening before. Was it just with that one, or aything you try to download from me or other sites? i checked the link in the gcd and it is correct and valid; i thought maybe it was pointing to an image file, but it appears to be correct. I'm not really sure what the issue might be.

a bit of both. i wrote a script myself in VBScript to do it. But I've modified it as I've gone and as I've learned more about the proper format/content for a GCD file. Which is why some of my ringers have different GCD file, as I've modified my script, I haven't gone back to change GCD's I've made before.
If I find that my current script is correct now, I'll go back and change my older ones.......not a small project though...lol

Yeah I have about 2000 midis.. (iv seen sites with more!) Im making the wap site and taht takes a while!!.. Im lookin for a script like 3guploads for a locker.. but anyways
I have a php script to make the gcd but it still takes some time because Im trying to keep it organized at the same time lol..
I foudn another script that will search a directory and when it makes the gcd it will make the folders.. like if the midi "workout plan" is under
.com/sprint/kanywest..........
Then the gcd's made will be under
.com/gcd/kanyewest
Does that make sense?? Anyways it doesnt work on Windows Servers.. Do you know anything about php :)

ah, ok. unfortunately i don't really know anythign about PHP. I've modified some PHP scripts i found, but basically all i've done with it is based off stuff i've read online from websites. i know what you mean about keeping stuff organized taking time, i use my script to do my gcd's but i still run it from the command line for each ringer so that i can have it put in the proper catagory page. Sorry i can't give too much advice on php, but if you want i can share the sites i've been using to learn it
also, i knotice you use a samsung phone. could you test out a ringer for me and let me know if it works for your phone, i think i got the GCD right. could you try out http://www.geocities.com/donblay/sprint/ringpages/ProcolHarem-AWhiterShadeofPale.htm and let me know?

Any chance that your tones might work with the Treo 600? The ones I looked at are all QCP files.

yeah, my whole site is QCP files; all voice ringers. To be honest though, i'm not sure if the Treo 600 can play thouse or not. Anyone out there know for sure???

now that I got the URL problem fixed I just want to finalize my GCD format. Some of my ringers aren't working still because of the items in the GCD (thouch most the newest stuff should be fine) . I think I got the format set now, but before I re-create all those GCD's I wanna make sure its fine tuned. I get a content error.. When I go to that on my computer its not a wap page and doesnt have anywhere for a gcd..
Does that page ont eh PC come up on the otehr cell phones??
Im not sure howt he website is setup but if that page is to send the text message to ur cell phone with the website link it in then it should go to a wap page or directly to the gcd.. .com/sprint/ringtones/songformyphone.gcd

But the images do download properly for you? :)
I might start making some at larger screen resolutions now. I just got a new Sanyo VM4500 and the screen is bigger; so I want them resized now too...lol. Not sure if I should just start doing all new stuff at a different size, or go back to some of the older galleries too...any suggestions? What's the resolution of your Toshiba? I could do some custom sized ones for you if you wanted.

You have a lot of nice things to choose from but unfortunately I can't seem to download anything. Everytime I get the text message sent to me I click on the website and it tells me "Error# 906--Invalid Descriptor."

just FYI, i've started added new images at a bigger size now 132x176. So far its just Christmas screen savers and some in the Adult Male and Adult Female pages. Perhaps they'll look better on your screen now.
