If you want to order via the web, go to palmone.com. They're already taking pre-orders and I'm guessing theirs will probably come first. I pre-ordered mine the other day. Finally tossed a coin and decided to stay with what I know eventhough I've used both Palm and PPC (and I tend to favor PPC). My Treo has worked mostly well so I went with smaller and longer batter life.

I have already ordered the car charger, travel charger and a fancy headset from Dan's Cell Phones on Sprint. The battery is only around 30.00 verus 59.00 on Palm One. I ordered my Treo 650 last Monday from Palm because of the free BT headset. Hopefully Palm will start shipping Monday. I will check Best Buy tomorrow, the rep was supposed to save it for me as they have the 15th as the release date. I sure want to get my hands on one.

Unfortunately, "release date" and "I'm holding one in my hand" are two totally different things. I preordered a T650 from PalmOne the first day they could be preordered. My order status is still listed as "backorderd" with an estimate of 2-3 weeks for shipping...

I am curious; did you receive an email confirming shipment? I placed my order the first day but it didn't process until the 2nd day because of my ATM. So I guess that it is possible that I will rec it tomorrow. Did you get it on Sat? Thanks for replying! How does it feel? Is it worth our money? Please reply!

I contacted telesales today. One rep said that they had no idea when the 650 would be released. Another said later this week. Where did you get your information?

It will be available for 'sale' within the next 10 days. (Ie before turkey day) or sooner.

Just got off the phone with telesales, the fast speaking, high pitched (LoL) rep told me it would be available around Thursday/Friday and she would give me a call when it was in.

Rec the Treo 650 battery today 1900 amp has Palm One name on it. Pretty close being the same one that Palm One ships at a very good price. Not bad for 30 bucks. Photo taken by Treo 600. Hopefully our new camera will work better.

I've been having a hard time ordering mine today. They keep trying to tell me my bill which isn't due till 12/10 needs to be paid before I can pay for my phone with a credit card ! *** !... Has anyone else been told this ?

To avoid what? Tax and shipping? I have an order w/P1 but I'm pissed the manufacturer is shipping after the carrier. I went ahead and ordered a 650 from Sprint just to get it Friday...even though I had to pay taxes and shipping (and didn't get a free BT headset).

I am just kinda pissed at P1 for leaving us in the dark. "backordered" doesn't cut it when I can have it on Friday from the carrier.

I still don't understand. So you ordered from Sprint to avoid tax? In my experience, P1 didn't charge tax, but Sprint did.

P1 charges tax in 3-4 states, NC is one of them. Sprint has never charged me tax on the phones I've ordered with them *Shrugs* That's why I was surprised to hear some of you state you were charged for tax and shipping.

I was able to order a Treo 650 from Palm One. It worked out cheaper that ordering from Sprint. No tax and free shipping, that great. I will be getting my phone on Tuesday. Hell Yea

I called Sprint and told them that I wanted info on the Treo 650 but was ordering from Palmone because they had free shipping and handling and a headset. Sprint matched it. I ordered it Thursday night so I should get it tomorrow (3 day shipping). We'll see what happens.

Just got mine, can you activate it online even though it says make sure your new phone is not a pda. I assume they are talking about windows ce since you actually change your plan for that.
