I need help, I just bought a data cable that I assumed (dangerously) had software with it to transfer along with drivers. I was sourly disappointed. It detects the phone as a USB device and everything's great...except for I have no software to transfer data/ringtones/etc. to and from my phone. The kicker is that the data cable came with no instructions :furious:...help!

Get ready for another sour note, there is no way to transfer ring-tones with that phone only images. And there is no FREE software as you may have assumed. We have the image transfer software in stock if you are interested. It is called SnapMEDIA www.3gcables.com

You've gotta be kidding me...do you anticipate any software coming out in the next 6 months or so that will allow me to do this?
P.S. I just downloaded and tried to use Bitpim without any luck. Woulda been nice if the company that sold me the data cable told me it doesn't work with my phone (which they did)

There is a high demand for software for this phone so it should be within the next month or two I am guessing.
If anyone wants to be updated when this software comes out (picture transfer software for either the Toshiba VM4050 or Audiovox 9900/9950) please send an email to me at < tech @ 3gcables . com > and I will let you know as soon as it comes out.
P.S. Please do not ever try Bitpim or any other software on a cell phone without checking compatibility first. People have been locking up their phones doing this. Not a good idea at all.

Not a good idea at all.I think that is overstating it a bit. I've been in contact with the BitPim developers and the Samsung A700 phone is the only one that has been reported to have that problem. Of course new phones are possibly problematic too but any phone that has been out a while and hasn't been reported to have problems with BitPim are probably safe, though not necessarily useful, with BitPim.

That is the only REPORTED issue. Who knows how many people tried it and locked up there phone but did not report it. I issued the statement above out of safety concerns.

No problem. It is funny how alot of companies claim they have software that can do things that are not possible with a specific model phone. They must have alot of returns.
