Hey Everyone,
Well I've been in the market for a phone, just a plain voice phone and I'm stuck at the V60v and the 6016i. IF anyone has any experience with either, problems, something they like, or simple comparisons that'd be awesome. Thanks!
I have absolutely no experience with either phone, but from what I do know I'd take the Moto V60 just because I personally prefer flip phones. Also I personally find Motorola > Nokia

You can always get a vision phone...and not subscribe to vision. The moto is just as expensive, and in some cases more expensive than most vision phones.

I've used both, m'self, and they're both actually *QUITE* good at what they do, as far as simple phones go.
The Nokia has better battery life, better ringtones (polyphonic), adn better Java support in it, and is certainly a better value, price-wise.
The Motorola basically is carried by it's styling, and the fact that it's partly aluminum certainly adds to that style. It doesn't have anything, at least feature-wise, that makes it stand out, though.
They are both excellent phones in terms of reception, though; they both ring loudly and they both have fairly strong vibration abilities. Like I said, the basics are covered by both, so you'll get a solid voice phone either way...

Thanks everyone! So far it sounds like I should just go with the Nokia 6016i, read some of the other reviews on the forum and it sounds like amuch better buy, plus a lot of people seem to have their qualms with the motorola phone. Thanks again!

I usually say go with a Vision phone- but there's really no reason to get a V60v, unless... well, hell, who knows. Motorola has more quality control issues than any other manufacturer... and I'm talking about big-time quality control issues.

yeah look at the vi660, just as stylish as the moto, basic do not have to have vision (but can get it if you want it, unlike the moto or nokia) and CHEAPER, if you are in a metro area then signal wont be a problem, just will need to open the flip for caller id, moto is too damn exspensive to be w/o vision at least, and its the same design that moto has been putting out for years, just has a color screen., good phone but not 249. $$$ worth, should be 179 like vi660 entry level phone!!!!

I'd just keep it simple and say you can't go wrong with the Nokia (not having external caller ID gets on your nerves fast.) Even though in my mind I'd upgrade to the 6225. BUT, when it comes to voice only features, the entry-level Nokia is a pretty solid, if basic, phone. After all, it's a Nokia.

If you're certain you only want to choose between a Moto and Nokia, and you've never before had a phone from either, then you REALLY owe it to yourself to go down the nearest store and demo each -- you'll find the user interfaces are VERY different.
Most people like Nokia's interface. I know lots of people with Moto v-series that hate the software (interface) but think the hardware/styling is worth it.
I have the Nokia 6225 and call tell you that it pulls signal like few other Sprint phones. I have heard/read similar about the 6016i. No experience with the v60.
Good luck.

one thing the motorola should have going for it over the nokia is the voice quality.

Not in their V60 line of phones however...they have held up through the years to be very reliable phones;)

Actually, though I've never used the v60, I don't think sound quality could get much better than the 6016i. But then again, before this I was stuck with the LG5350 for the previous year and a half.

oh yeah i should have explained that
sidetone is the feature that echos your own voice through the earpiece, like on a landline phone...you know how you blow into the mouthpiece you can hear it. anyway my t608 has it and it makes an amazing difference in how natural and organic the sound is.
