The Sanyo 5500 which has been out for a while now has got to be the one phone that owners have that they refuse to let go that easy for another phone...and it's obvious Sprint still sells it for $349.00. Unfortunately I still don't see any phone out there that will encourage me to dump my 5500 even the A700 or the anticipated 7400...no dice. The 5500 has been the most solid performer out there and like a good women it's hard to let here go.....

I had to trade my 5500 the other day, kept dropping calls and getting hung on the internet when I needed to RL.

I could have sworn that this phone was $500 when it first came out. I remember thinking that I would never buy it. A man that I work with got his at that time with the $150 rebate and paid $350 for it.

The 0101 hardware series 5500 did have these problems. The 0201 hardware series fixed that.

you got that right deval, when the vi660 came out it was like 250$ i believe and now you can get it for free to 30$ (depends on where you buy), so sprint mos def drop the price of their phone, i cant tell if the vi660 became a hot seller after the huge price drop or when it was still fresh, i all i know is that it has to be the most seen sprint phone outhere!!!! :D

I tried to get rid of my Sanyo 5500 several times and each time the new phone was either sold or taken back to sprint....Until the 5600 comes out or the lg 325 proves itself...I have no need to go to the Sprint store....I pay my bill online. The 5500 is not a perfect phone but it is as close to a perfect phone right now for me as I am going to get .

I had to leave my 5500 (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52741) behind when I got no service in my new house. Needless to say, I am missing her a lot. I don't think that there is another phone on the market that is "the total package" like the 5500 just yet.

Actually I think the 7400 will be a solid phone to move to from the 5500. Same feature set as the 5500, but added a better screen, Multimedia features, revised GUI, etc. I WILL miss the rear-mounted camera that let me take pictures without being noticed though. Oh well.

Until the 5600 that is... :D

5600 is going to be my replacement to my silver 5500. I thought about 7400, but the minisd and the high res camera is what did it for me.

Yep I have decided when the LG 535 comes I will be selling my 8200 to my brother. I just can't cant part with my 5500. I've had it 11 months now (the longest I've ever had a phone) Now when the 5600 comes , it might be a toss up, cause that will be a full year with 5500.
