i currently have an lg 5350 and the connection manager/true usb cable internet connection for my laptop. i've been using this for nearly two years now and other than the periodic glitch, it seems to work very well for me and i've never had any problems with sprint telling me that i've gone over my allotted megabyte usage (and i download a lot). this is very nice as it's my only internet option where i live. i don't even own a landline.

the thing is, though it's worked very well for me thusfar, i'm not super happy with my phone. i find that the reception is not very strong and i think that i'd really like to get a camera phone at this point.

so my questions are:

1) which camera phones can i continue to use as a modem and have the best signal reception?
2) will i be able to use my 'old' data cable and/or software with different phones, or are they all unique?
2b) where can i get the new drivers i may require?

thanks in advance for any input.

1. all of them. The Nokias seem to be a bit harder though.
2. No on the data cable

I can't say about the others (well, I can) , but the VM4050 makes an excellent modem, and an excellent phone.
