Sanyo 7400/5600

Saw the Sanyo 7400 today at my store b/4 our store meeting, kick ***** phone I gotta say...spoke with the major markets rep. and said that roll out of those was supposed to have been late October, not sure what the hold up is, but also the 5600 will be released sometime around the holidays... so we'll see, i will keep you all updated as more information develops =o)

he said it was supposed to have already been rolled out, he said probably within the next couple of weeks, which 11/14 sounds about right, i'm sure i'll know for sure by this friday...last i heard sprint hadn't 'purchased' these models yet, but you know how word gets around, if i see the sanyo rep, i'll ask him any questions you'd like =o)

yeah its basically the RL7300, but with added video cam, i got to touch it, he also mentioned that the speaker on the both models the 7400/5600 are full duplex, like the older model speaker phones, the recent sanyos have been 1/2 duplex, which you know of course means that if you're talking and someone else is talking at the same time the conversation becomes scrambled, we've had alot of customers bring them back cause of that, but once we've educated them, they were happy... I strongly believe in sanyo, everyone in my sprint store owns one, so, rock on!

I hope he's correct....If the 5600 is everything it's cracked up to be, I might even pay full retail for one of those suckers. Not so interested in the 7400 though, too big for my tastes, plus I'm a fan of flagship phones like the 5500.
