I'm currently using PDANet to connect my Treo 600 to my laptop. I'm using the trial right now (I think it's 15 days or something). It works fine and it was very simple to install. My question...Is there any way to do this for free ? I don't think it'd be worth it for me to purchase the software to use on my laptop once or twice a year.

I've seen many posts from users who have used PDAnet successfully with a laptop and PC running Windows XP. But can one use the Treo 600 as a modem for a NEC Mobilepro 790 handheld PC, which runs Windows CE 3.0 (Pocket PC 2000)?

The only way to tether to a laptop as a modem for "free" is to already have Sprint Vision unlimited, sell your Treo 600, and buy a PPC-6700.

Otherwise, you will probably get a letter or text message telling you to sign up for a Phone as a Modem Plan.
