I am eligible to get $150 rebate on two Spring phones. I want to purchase phones that can be used to briefly link to a pda or laptop so I can retrieve my email, check my appointments, and sometimes get information I need from a web page. No multimegabit downloads, but perhaps one or two meg files very occasionally. I have the original unlimited Vision plan, but I don't intend to use it enough have it questioned anyway, so I would like to get answers to this question:

Which phones are the best/still capable of connecting to a pda/laptop and which pda's are best for connecting to a Sprint phone?

I don't care about cameras and ring tones, etc., I just want good reception, a good screen and connectivity.

In terms of connecting to a laptop, I've always found the Sanyos to be the most agreeable. Reception is good too. Not sure about a PDA... haven't tried that, as the last set of cables I saw was out the roof.

Usually sprint won't complain if you just use it occassionally....
