I have a Pioneer DEH-P840MP car stereo. I am thinking about getting the XM for it. Am I correct in saying that all I need (besides subscribing to the service) is to get the antenna for it and call it in?

Yeah, I called Best Buy and FINALLY got someone that knew what they were talking about. The 840 (mine) doesn't have the built in *something* that the 850 (cosmetically identical) does. Instead of costing me $50 for just an antenna... it will cost $200... screw that, I am glad it is a mp3 player.

You could always go for one of the external kits like http://www.xmradio.com/skyfi/

It is just too much money for what it is worth. I drive everywhere, and I thought that it would be nice to have it. I suppose I will look on ebay to find one cheap.
