So, up until about a month ago I pretty much had no complaints about Sprint but lately myself and some other Sprint customers are having an insane amount of trouble with their service. I used to always have 3-4 bars in my house, now it roams in certain places and get signal fades frequently. I don't have a landline, so I really need solid service. Furthermore, using SMS works about half the time and I'm lucking if i can connect to the web 10% of the time. I would suspect my phone, except two friends of mine with different makes/models of phones are experiencing the same problems. I even tried to download the latest PRL update (10025) but that didn't appear to fix anything. I'm not trying to bash Sprint or anything, just trying to find out if anyone knew something going on...maybe there are network upgrades or a satellite exploded or something. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Me and a few friends have noticed more errors recently when sending SMS messages.

It might be EV-DO network upgrades in the works, same thing going on in San Diego.

I've noticed a lot of issues with VISION over the last few days too. I'm near Plano. We can only hope that it's the EV-DO upgrade;-)

I've heard that they are putting up new towers in DFW and to prepare for this they are redirecting some existing towers because of the future change in coverage. The problem is it leaves holes until those new towers come up.

i've gotten a few problems with Sprint as well. signal fades a couple times while on the phone. hope these new towers in DFW reach around North Plano!

Southlake here. Everything is working great! But I did go to a Sprint store and the updates are currently in progress.... so we dont want to rush them! We just want EV-DO to work properly and want it NOW! lol

well, i went yesterday and had the firmware updated to 1.011sp (after having to convince the sprint rep that it did in fact exist...) so maybe that will help for now - anyone know what this update does/fixes from ver 1.010. thanks-

I live in arlington and Most of the time I cant get on the internet. It says registration failure.. but If I keep at it, then it works after 30 trys. I have spent hours on the phone with techs about it.. I gave up.
