Hi,
just installed my sanyo 8200 with correct driver and older connection manager to my Dell laptop. A first it worked fine. I made the mistake of allowing the software to search for and install updates. The new connection manager did not work and when I tried to remove it has somehow disabled the older connection manager. It tries to connect but then an error comes up and shuts the program down evertime. I've unistalled both old and new manager several time but I still get the error. Is there a file I'm not removing that is causing the error? Did sprint put something in the new connection manager to disable the older connection manager so it won't be used as a modem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will be deploying soon with the military and my laptop might be my only means of light Internet usage. Thanks in advance!

Don't use connection manager but this should work. Somebody was kind enough to send it to me from the Howard ForumsAfter you download the correct drivers for your model:

Setting up a connection on WinXP

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start -> Connect to -> Show all connections
(Network Connection folder should open.)

Select "Create a new connection" under "Network Tasks".

Next-> Next -> "Set up my connection mannually"

Next -> Next

(Type a name for the connection - it doesn't really matter what, just something
descriptive.)

Next

(Type the phone number of the ISP you want to dial --- or #777 to connect to Sprint.)

Next

(Fill in your username, password, and password --- leave username and password blank if
dialing #777.)

Next -> Finish.
