I've gone through the reviews but only one that I saw compaired the reception of the 600 to other phones they have used. Can anyone else that has/had a Treo 600 give on a 1-10 scare how the reception rates against other phone ? Thanks

Other than if it was analog only My T6 had service everywhere my 4500 had as well as my 680 and 660. I had no issues with the RF.

So far so good compared with my VM4500 against the Treo600. Unfortunately the Treo doesn't analog roam. That's the only thing I've noticed so far, but I've only had it for about three days.

Yeah, Analog wouldn't be an issue for me. I have more signal in Digital than analog anyway.

I went from the n400 to the treo 600 and reception in certain areas went from barely usable to great.

but then again the n400 was known for its crappy reception.

I have 5 lines. I constantly switch line 2-5 out in lieu of the latest greatest phone. Of all I have tried (Sanyos, samsungs, nokias) my Treo 600 gets the best reception hands down. I even get reception in an elevator shaft. Cant beat it.

Oh...line 1 is my Treo.

I had three N400s. I finally drop-kicked the last one across a parking lot in a fit of rage. I haven't bought a Samsung phone since.

I have a T608 and my wife uses a Treo 600. We get marginal reception at home. The Treo is constantly dropping calls. The T608 is much better. My wife is ready to drop kick her Treo. She always wants to use my phone at home. This is the second 600 she's had. The first was replaced for poor reception.

I stumbled across this post looking for a way to improve the Treo 600 or to see if this is a common problem. I wonder if the reception has deteriorated over time. When her first phone started to go bad, she took it to a Sprint store. They tested it and agreed it was bad. They replaced it free. It seemed fine for a while now it seems poor again. Maybe it's just our imagination but the reception appears to get worse over time.

I think that there is a cell phone law somewhere that states that any phone you own will have bad reception in your house.

My Sanyo vm4500 is ROCK SOLID anywhere in my house (two story wood frame).

My ATT GSM phone works barely, and only in certain places in my house, T-moble was very poor too as was ATT TDMA.

Over the past two weeks my Treo 600 is dropping everything. I live within 500 yards of a tower and my calls still drop. Is your wife still dropping calls and have you found this common with other 600s. I'm with Verizon and the store told me today that it was "wearing out". I really don't believe them now and I'm looking for other inputs.

Thanks

My 600 (and those of several other people I've heard from) turned out to have a problem with its battery, where it would make and receive calls when it was plugged into the charger, but on its own it would just give up and say "No Service" when I tried to dial. Yesterday I let the local Sprint store have a look at it, and they exchanged it for a 650. :-] Try testing if yours still works ok on the charger.
