MobiTV is available on most Sprint headsets, but the benefits of having an A700 and MobiTV is that it will display the streaming video more smoothly and at a higher fps [frame-per-second] than other headsets from Sprint.

i figure the framerate is 1 or 2 frames per second, which seems to be the norm for any of the phones, but it's buggy.

some of the channels will Terminate the MobiTV application within a few seconds, while some take a couple minutes. half the time, after such a Termination, within the next few button presses, the phone reboots itself. some of the time, instead of the application terminating while watching a channel, my phone immediately reboots.

i got MobiTV back when it first came out. i had emailed them about the problems. they were actually very helpful, emailed back, and even gave me a phone number and asked me to call them from a different phone than my cell phone so that they could have me "tune in" to a channel while we were talking on the phone and do diagnostics. they said they would probably have to recalibrate the "streams" for the 4900 or something.

anyway, the MobiTV channels still crash my 4900 to this day, many months later. i really like the idea of MobiTV, especially since i get many channels i don't even get on my real TV, so i like to pay for it to make sure it progresses, but i think i might cancel soon. or ask that they reduce it to just $5 a month for me, since i can't really use it on my phone very well.
