Don't forget losing the Series in '95 to Atlanta. They've won like 10 straight division titles or something, and the only WS championship is against the Indians.
And I don't really talk about the '97 series against the fish and how the tribe was 2 outs from their first title since 1948 and we had the best closer in the game on the mound and how he blew it. I don't talk about it.

It's why I want Boston to win it all when the Indians don't make to the playoffs (which they haven't for awhile). Indian's fans and RedSox fans can relate (Cubbies too) and we both have a hatred for the Yankees.
Plus, Boston has the best hitter in baseball, Manny. (I may be biased though towards ex-Indians).

I just think the curses make for a great story. I know a LOT of Red Sox fans, and it will be sad when they don't have anything to complain about any more ;)

It was to bad that schilling was hurt or just off last night. I think the yanks and the fans thought the game was over when it was 7 or 8 to zero. Oritz missed that dam homer by a few feet to tie it. I'm a tribe fan to and I miss manny's bat but don't miss his lazy plays in the out field. I think he might have been able to dive for mansuiis (sp) bloop double and the fly ball in the 8th. I want the sox to when but if the yanks win tonight it's over. Don't count out Cardinals

ugh...and to think i live a couple stops from Yankee stadium...

THE DODGERS-GIANTS IS THE BEST RIVALRY IN BASEBALL - MAKE THAT PROFESSIONAL SPORTS. not only were they bitter rivals when both in NY (both national league teams), they moved west in the same year and continued their bloodfest in laid back SoCal. what makes it a real rivalry? nearly even in the amount of times one team has totally wrecked the other's season...real fights every now and then (pedro/zimmer? please)...and neither team wins the title often enough that every single time the other team denies it to you it really hurts. Boston is used to the losing. like the Cubs, it's their identify, it brings them comfort.

now, once the Sox eclipse the Yanks and win WS, they might begin to elevate the rivarly to LA/SF status. not even close until then.
