I added a line 2 months ago. True to form, I added the ERP. Of course I couldnt view that bill online for a month. When I was able to view it, I noticed there was no ERP on that line. I called a few times over the past two weeks, but hung up when I got a 25-minute wait time. I called to day to enroll the new line and they told me since it has been 30 days since I purchased the phone, the phone is no longer eligible. Only new equipment is eligible (within 30 days) for enrollemnt in the ERP.
I explained that I did add it. She asked if I had a copy of the contract. Luckily, I did and sure enough, it was listed and supposed to be added. She advised me to returm to the Sprint store and they could contact CS and add it. I did, and they did.
Is the 30 day enrollment period new? If so, I can understand why...with so many people calling to add it to their account AFTER they have broken their phone.

That same thing happened to me when I added my third line and I got home and called CS to make sure that it was set up right and they did not add erp and I was told I would have to call Lockline and I said It was supposed to be add and I got the line today and they still told me to call Lockline and so I instead called the store and told them what was wrong and they fixed it over the phone .

Huh...small world. All-in-all, thats a good store. They are quick and responsive. They swapped out a hitachi p300 for me when my niece cracked the screen, didnt make me go through lockline. They swapped out my Treo too...didnt even run the HP (??) test, called around until they found a local store that had one.
I digress...It's great to have a printed copy of the contract. It saved me this time.

Yeap, very good store, they are very helpful and always make sure everything you buy or sign up for, is ok before you leave :)

Existing customers can add Total Equipment Protection (ERP+WEP) by just calling Lock/Line. Do not call CS to add TEP.

I AM an existing customer. I called lockline to enroll my NEW line (5th) and they told me it was NOT eligible because it the phone was past the 30 day window.
In anycase...they fixed it at the Sprint store. Im glad to see the new rule...hopefully it will cut down on fraud.

SPCS made a change a while back, when I still worked there, that if a person wanted ERP on a new line, it had to be added at the time of activation. If it was not, then they had to call ERP to get it added.
Well, then it got changed to if they haven't had the phone activated for 30 days, then the rep could add it. If it was over 30 days, the person had to contact Lockline to get it added.
In most cases, this is usually a store screw up, and if you get a good rep, or the one who set you up, they could usually add it right then, w/ a note explaining why it was added later.

The 30day rule went into effect in Oct 2004 with the change from the old Sprint Warranty name to the TEP program to reduce fraud issues.
