10 Dollar Vision...yes!

I just called customer service to get my account flagged for the new PRL, and since I wasn't on a contract they offered me the standard %5 discount to re-up for 2 years. I told them that wasn't enough to do it and asked for discounted vision. They offered me $10 vision with picture pack plus the %5 discount. Since I don't use all my minutes now, that was the most valuable thing they could have offered.

I was already on a very old $30 for 300 minute plan, so what I have now is:
300 Minutes
unlimited N&W starting at 9pm (I know I should have asked for 8PM!)
unlimited Vision with picturemail, 100 text messages (which I won't use)
Cost: $38 per month (30 + 10) -%5.

I know lots of you have better plans, but for someone who doesn't qualify for corporate discounts and doesn't need a huge bucket of minutes I think it's a great deal.

I was offered 10.00 vision the other day also, when I was removing RL from my account. Didn't have to renew anything, I was very surprised she just offered it to me for no reason :D !!! !

Oh, don't know if this makes a difference or not. But the 10.00 vision pack I was given includes unlimited pictures...

My $10 business vision plan includes unlimited MB usage and a $10 content credit. i can also opt for $5 content credit and unlimited pic. mail (dont have a cam. phone). The veteran Business rep who hooked me up had a hard time finding the codes for that one.

Is there a certain plan that it's either above or below in order to get the $10 vision of business accounts? What I mean is that I have a $40/400min a month plan. Is that a lower end plan that they wouldn't even bother offering me $10 vision even though I'm a business customer, or do all business customers get offered $10 vision. I also have 2 lines on the account. Don't know if that matters either.

i'm still on the original (consumer) 10 dollar Vision - with pics/video and SMS grandfathered in. there are no caps on data usage - other than the oft-threded use of your phone as a modem.

I asked specifically about that, and the CS rep assured me that I would get unlimited vision, unlimited picturemail, plus the %5 discount. I guess I'll have to check my bill at the end of the month, but I'm hopeing for the best.

The only capped vision plans were the original $10 for 5MB (I believe) which only lasted a few months before it was taken out of the system and $15 for 3MB for the T608. There were only a few T608 users unlucky enough to get stuck with that. Other than that all MB vision plans are only for data cards.

Ditto! It is a retention feature, many customers have it who are on retention plans.

hmm. i get $5 dollar vision with picture pack and its all unlimited: picture uploads, 100 sms,not unlimited lol, unlimited vision. i'm not on retention or anything. i got it about 4 months ago and i asked about 10 diff reps before and after i got it to make sure the price was right and it was unlimited. :). i'm sure some of you already know this cause ive posted it before. oh yeah and i get the $5 dollar credit. :D

Do you have a shared plan? Are you an AAP?

I've never heard of $5 vision, except for AAP's.

i am on a shared plan but only my line has any vision not the primary line. and the 5 bucks on my line is the only extra charge on our bill. also (off topic) i get free voice comand :) on my line. and its not being charged for on primary. i dont know what aap is but i dont think it applies to me

AAP=add a phone. You are on a shared plan and you are not the primary so it does apply to you. Vision is $5 for all AAP's.

but primary must have vision active for it to apply to the AAP. Otherwise, it should be $15 for the APP. So if that is the case, you got a pretty good deal.

Unless the primary dropped vision at some point, or its hardcoded into the plan.

In any case $5 vision rocks...saves me a ton each month.

i used to get it free after the 2 month thing it stayed on for like 5 months.but once we added another line and signed a contract it was gone :( . the primary line had vision once but only the free for 2 months then it was cancelled.
