Has anyone had any luck uploading photos from your camera phone to Yahoo Photos??? I have the Sanyo 8100 and subscribe to Yahoo Photo services @$2.99/month. I've also followed the directions in attempting to upload photos via email to mastermikex@photos.yahoo.com but the pictures never get there!!! I can view & download the photos that I had previously downloaded via my pc, but the uploads from my phone never get there!

I have solved the problem. What I needed to do was to change the Vision email address from name@sprintpcs.com to Tel#@messaging.sprintpcs.com.

Hope this may be helpful to anyone thinking of subscribing to Yahoo photo service for SprintPCS Vision.

i am trying to get this to work - but i can't. how can I change my vision user name to a phone number?

I emailed yahoo and they said that sprint should know how. When I go online it will let me change my user name from ABC123@sprintpcs.com and AB1234@sprintpcs.com - but not to the number.

This is yahoos website - http://mobile.yahoo.com/uploadphoto

It says once my phone is registered (it already is) send an email to yahooid@photos.yahoo.com and it will be placed in your mobile upload album. The email works cause if I send it to my normal email address on yahoo it works - but I am hoping I can send it there for it to auto-upload to my album.

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mobile.

Currently Photo Upload is offered for the following carriers:

- Cingular
- Sprint
- T-Mobile
- Verizon

If your carrier is not listed, this option is not available to you. We
are working to add more carriers and handsets in the future.

It's easy to upload photos from your camera phone to your Yahoo! Photos
account.
The first step is to register your mobile phone with Yahoo!.

Please visit:

http://mobile.yahoo.com/uploadphoto

Click on the "Get Started Now" button. (Note: If you've registered your
phone before, your phone will already be listed.)

Once you've registered, just follow these steps to start uploading
photos from your camera phone:

1. Take a picture with your camera phone.
2. Email or MMS your picture to your Yahoo Mobile Photos Upload email
address. Your upload address is your Yahoo!ID@photos.yahoo.com
(example:
youryahooid@photos.yahoo.com). Please note that you will not be able to
send photos to your upload address until your phone is registered with
Yahoo!.
3. Visit http://photos.yahoo.com and sign in to your account. You will
find your camera phone picture in your "Mobile Uploads" album.

Please note that your "from" address contains your phone number. Your
camera phone's email address should contain your phone number. To see
if
this is true, try sending an email from your phone to your regular
email
account. When the message comes in, check the FROM address. If it
contains your phone number (e.g. phoneno@carrierdomain.com) your phone
can upload to Yahoo!.

i did a search and found some more info why it happened...but i can't find any fixes :(

is there anyway to do an overide and trick the phone - to make it seem like the email is comming from mobilenumber@pm.sprint.com rather than my username - maybe using one of the ##3823# code?

I have a sanya 8300

Also, we've heard that Sprint mobile customers are no longer able to send pictures from their cameraphones to Yahoo! 360°. Here's the issue: Sprint has changed the format of their email addresses from mobilenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com to username@pm.sprint.com, and now Sprint mobile users are unable to access mobile alerts and certain other Yahoo! Mobile services.

Well, sort of... this whole username thing only applies to those who have actually chosen a username for their pic mail. This is something you have to do manually. But once it's done it cannot be undone.

Of course, this was many moons ago that they instated this option, so by now it may be an automatic thing and there isn't anything anyone can do.

There is an option to change it online under my Personal Information - Power Vision Username. There is another option to change it under Picture Mail - Account. I tried both of them but the change does not go through. I have email e-care and asked them to change it to my phone number@pm.sprint.com. I will let you know what they tell me.

I too would like to use Yahoo Photo. Hopefully they can get it changed.
