Google just added google sms, it allows you to search via sms. When I first tried it it appeared to work, I have short mail not true sms. Is anyone else with short mail tried the new service? If so does it work?

I think she means a notifier for the cell... meaning when u get a new email it would notify your cell phone. I'd really like that feature too... I told them about it.

Been doin it for a week now....Just create a filter for forwarding, sending the email to your phone, the first 162 ( I think) char get sent, and you can go online to read the rest. I love it.

yeah, this is fsck-ing hot. While I havent called 411 in a year or more, and I do really dig the new, upgraded Find features on the Vision homepage (i.e. search by area code) even that takes a good amount of time to fire up the browser, etc.
I get answers for phone #'s back from Google in seconds....

Ya I got it to work tonight on my 4050 for the first time and it is great
1.46645 for the number
2.walmart. your zip code for the message
3. send
You can put any business in for walmart then your zip .

That's how it worked for me too. I was not sure if I needed to add the leading zero's or not. It turned out that I didn't.

I love it. It took me a few minutes to understand it-cause of the fact that the number to send a msg to is less than 7-digits. Most of the other carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile have been utilizing these short numbers for some time now, but SprintPCS was like almost the only carrier not to participate, but I guess now it's a standard. This opens up a lot more doors.
Google seems to be the ones that are always coming up with these really neat things and tools for people to use that probably no one would have really thought to think of it. And they arent those one hit wonders/ideas either. They always come up with things that will last a longtime.
