OK here's my problem. I bought a treo 300 refurb and everything appears ok, but when I try to activate it I enter the ## and the MSL # then push the green handset button and nothing happens. It should be the activation window. has anyone seen this or have any idea what to do. I've spoke to techs on the phone and they said take it to a store. at the store they said they didn't know, but The tech wanted to go to lunch so I don't know if they hooked it up or just tried to enter the code. I can dial out and it syncs up to the network time. Everything else works fine.

It's ## MSL *Green Phone* No # at the end.

Correct I put that in to signify the MSL "number" and I just got off the phone with sprint the problem was the number thay have is wrong. I bought a refurb unit and the resseller has the MSL number sprint doesn't know it. so the codes they have been giving me are no good. I'm calling the reseller tommorow to get the right number.

Thanks to everyone who looked

Wirelessly posted (UPG1 UP/4.0 (compatible; Blazer 1.0))

I changed numbers recently and i had to check the number portability box for some reason to get it to activate after a day of waiting. Then 2 seconds later it worked.

I realize that this is an ancient thread, but it's also the first hit for "sprint treo 300 activation" on Google and is pretty helpful. They sent me to a tech to activate my refurb phone. Sprint does have a backup "nuke" code that they can give you, but it's a one-time use thing.

I was doing an equipment swap (ESN swap) and once the phone was on, I still had to manually configure my network settings for Vision.

Thanks to all you sprintusers.com-ers for such a helpful site!

I finally did I, I updated from my five year old phone and opened my wallet to purchase a refurbished treo 300 however upon receiving I'm having problems already. I bought the cheap version so I can get used to the features before upgrading to a treo 600 or treo 650.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect to the internet.
It keeps telling me I need to connect to the network to update network settings
It is only good for about 15 minutes of talk time before going dead.
How and where do I get my spring email [blackcat777@sprintpcs.com]

Where can I find the earbud / headset for this thing.

as far as the internet saying that it has to update your settings, its trying to go through the initial provisioning process. if that fails, you may need to call *2 and have tech support help you manually program it, that will stop that message from coming up and you will see the internet then.

for the battery, it is a bit older, and refurb-ed.
you can download a program thats called eudora internet suite from www.eudora.com that is an email client and another web browser for palm devices. then setup your pcsmail in there.
