Hi all. As my post count reflects, I'm new to the site. I gave a try at searching the forum for an answer and haven't seen much that looks promising. I recently purchased a pair of LG 5225 phones for my wife and I and mothballed our older Sanyo 4900.
When I took the phones home from Sprint the tech made some brief comment about how the text messaging software wasn't working quite right and it might be a bit before they got it debugged. I now know what he means. I can send messages no problem, but there is an issue with receiving duplicate messages. If I send a message to the phone (whether from another phone or the Sprint website) the message gets 'stuck' in the queue. It will send, but the old message appears to remain lodged in the queue. If I try to send another message later, I will only get a duplicate of the first. If I send a third message, I get another duplicate of the first, not a duplicate of the second.
After some period of time, the original old message dies. Unfortunately, a new 'old' message (like the second one sent behind the first) now becomes the 'stuck' message. Are any other 5225 users experiencing this? According to the website I have the latest software.
I guess I just want to make sure I am not suffering for no reason.
