View Full Version : Current Shortmail is Unlimited -> SMS?

A freind of mine just got a sprint phone last week. He got a Samsung vga100 phone that has shortmail not sms. When I looked at his account on line it says unlimited messaging. So if he got an sms capable phone (he has vision) would he also then get unlimited SMS with that phone? Would the system change him to 100 when he changed phones.

So is shortmail unlimited? or did they code him different somehow (he did get a special plan 2k minutes with free AAP and Free Vision on his primary becasue he said that he would only switch to sprint if they could match my plan with sprint and my plan dates back to Jan.) Did they code him with legacy codes - that allow unlimited sms?

I would say it's a safe bet that if he has UL shortmail then he would have UL SMS if he got a new phone. Just make sure when he has an ESN swap done the rep doesn't mess with his codes at all on his account.
