Recently replaced broken 4900 with a 8200. The reception on the 4900 was considerably better. It is not a major problem, I just have to remember to put the phone on desk and not keep it in pocket. The 8200 has been a great phone so far except for the weaker reception. Richard

That's for sure the 4900 has the best reception of any Sprint I ever had. The 8200 will not even get a signal at my house but the 4900 would.
