View Full Version : Enough of the politics, who loves post-season baseball?

I am all uptight over politics and I haven't spent nearly enough time following the greatest sport even conceived...BASEBALL. So, for all the other baseball lovers out there, who do you think is going to win it? Make posts super long if you want to, because frankly I can't read enough about post-season baseball. Lets hope these playoffs are as good as last years. Now for my picks.

More later (because I want to get a little sleep before work in a few hours), but I like the Braves for some reason right now. Everybody thought they would be done when they lost all the pitchers they did, but here they are right at the top of the division again, like they are every year. Bobby Cox doesn't get nearly enough credit for what he has done over the years with that team. This will be their 11th divisional title in the same amount of years I believe? That is absurd! It breaks my heart to see the Cubs fall apart like they did. A Red Sox/Cubs World Series is something every baseball fan would love to see. Although I like the Braves you can't ignore how hot the Astros are. 15 straight at home is nothing to laugh about. St. Louis of course has all the defensive and offensive weapons, but do they have the pitching to get them to the World Series?......And of course you can't count out the Yankees.

waaahhhoooo!!!!

Dodgers enter the ninth trailing the Giants 3-0, then score three to tie the game, and the for good measure then hit a grand slam to win it 7-3. Dodgers win the west, and if the Astros can win tonight and tomorrow, that means no postseason for the Giants. Sorry to those in SF - but YIPPPEEEE!!!! GO DODGERS!!! and GO ASTROS!!!

Yanks all the way baby! Yeah so what if our pitching is horrible. We're the Yanks and we'll find a way to beat Boston in the playoffs (if we both advance the first round). I can't see anyone beating the 'Stros in the NL if they make it. They are clicking in a really great way. That will lead to the showdown we've all been waiting for...Yanks vs. Astros. Clemens vs. his old team. Damn I love the sh*t out of baseball.

I love the regular season but HATE the playoffs.

Go Athletics. At least it wasn't another Division Series meltdown.

lol...i think he's referring to the A's tendancy to kick ass in the regular season, only to collapse once the calendar changes over to October. no worries this year - the end has mercifully come with the regular season end. feb. week 2 is not that far off...that's when pitchers and catchers report to spring training!

now, onto the teams that made the postseason - go DODGERS!!! time to roast some red birds! tasty!

You are correct, sir. Now I can hibernate a little earlier this year. G'night, everybody!
