Just out of curiosity and the fact that I'm a bit bored, how did you find out about sprintusers?

Me I don't actually remember specifically other than I was curious about SPCS products and international calling (as stated in my first ever post here) and did a little google search and stumbled on this great place.

I found it through a google search as well, back in 2002. This was before the current forum structure, back when had "tree" threads (much different looking, not nearly and neat or easy to browse). Clicking on "members" and sorting by "join date" I see I am offically member #23 :D

I was browsing 3Gupload trying to find a way to get ringers for the Nokia...when I found out that was impossible, I saw a link to SU. That's how I got here.

I am just glad to have found SU! *looks at road map* LOL! How I found this site was that a person on another forum told me of it.

I found SU via word of mouth. Had been hearing somewhere that the A-460 was released per a rep @ Fry's electronics in Sacto. He said he saw it on SU.com, I googled it, found SU.com back in the days of the old tree system. (And Michael Knight, the 5150, 3G Voice vs 2G Voice, Qualcomm chipset, etc) Verified via threads that the phone was avail @ Best Buy and a day owner was a happy (and highly still satisfied) owner of the Samsung A460 within the first 2 days of 'release' to stores.. :D

As most mentioned above, I found it doing a search for free 3g stuff. I've been here for about 1.5 yrs and keep coming back.

Thanks to Dave for building it and the people here who make it worth coming back to.!

Yahooooooooo!
Wow, I think I'm the only person on the planet who still uses Yahoo to do a search.
I was looking for info on the Nokia 3588 last year because I was convinced I wanted changeable face plates.
Thankfully I ended up here and was rescued from my delusion.

i used to use USENET newsgroups and I remembered the days of SU messages completely flooding the board with duplicate postings. I thought, "how annoying is that?!?" so i came over to see what was going on.

I was looking to get rid of my N400. I didn't want to make the same mistake twice so I looked for user reviews on the VM4500. I don't know how I missed it before. Must be the sleep deprivation. :hee:

Ouch. I had forgotten about that. We used to sync a section of the form to the alt.cellular.sprintpcs newsgroup but due to some weird and unknown issues, our outgoing script would sometimes flood duplicates.

I'm glad we stopped that sync, but on the other hand glad we picked you up as a user! :D

Isn't that the truth with majority of the newsgroups?

Isn't that the truth with majority of the newsgroups?

back in the day, a few of the moderated ones i read were pretty good but i avoid them like the plague at this point

hhehehe, I remember the old forums on here.

I actually found this place through Kevin (who used to be an admin on here), he was a mod over in the cell phone forums on DSL Reports and mentioned this new site, so I came on here and stuck around for over 2 years now.

I saw it in a free magazine I used to get in the mail( one of the ones that you never heard of them before, they send u a few copies and then you never hear of them again). They had a section on phone carriers and listed forum web sites not related to the specific phone companies. I just can't remember the name of the magazine.

I think I googled mine.

Just curious, how far up did the member numbering go? Since I don't have a number, I guess I am part of the masses, 'ey? :)

Found it from Hofo. Found HoFo when I was looking for reviews for the T226. Stumbled across mobileburn, which in turn said Howardchui.com has a good review up, then eventually found howardforums...

I joined some group on Yahoo Groups after doing a search for Sprint PCS Groups.

Sprintusers was the only link in the links section so I checked it out and been here ever since.

Don't even remember the name of the Yahoo Group anymore.

Long.. Long... time ago..

I was wondering about the internet searching of the greatest golds of online life and truest treasures of knowledge on Wireless Moble Phones, looking for what some say is the true Guru of all in understanding and power. One day I was searching with in the very depths of Sprints Web Site, trying as I may for more and more lore. Till by chance, I was but lost in my search, at ends hope, of the very question upon my tired lips, the one thing, my very soul hungered for.... truth and freedom in my life with a cellular carrier, I could but trust to help in my most dire needs of wireless reliability and of the most helpful people. Then... like a spark upon my mind, and sly typing in Google there was my answer, all this time the very answer was but infront of me, for truly I was at a lost, looking upon my screen the simple but yet perplexing name, that I could only say "why, why didn't I just type this in before, so easy but yet so obvious it was at a bewilderment upon me" and then with the mouse I click the browser so bravely and selected the link.... and there my friends was it, it was not so lightly tooken away from my eyes but truly its name was grand but simple.... www.sprintusers.com hehehehhee :hee:

ok ok so basically I found it in Google by typing a few different words in with Sprint in the name but I like my first story better lol

SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more. The most popular section is the message board where visitors can read and write messages, ask questions, and get advice about their cellular phone from other users.
