treo 300 insurence claim do you get 600???

I have a VM4500 and I want something more....and I was thinking how about I buy a Treo300 from ebay for like under a hundred bux and then fry it in the microwave and do an insurence claim what would they give me??? can i get some answers please :confused:

recently discontinued...very recently. Im almost positive you will get a refurb Treo 300. There are a lot of them floating around. The sold the Treo 300 for over two years.

I have seen posts from people saying they got the 600 but I think your chances are slim. Wonder how long it will take for them to run out? I broke my first treo 300 in 3 months so hopefully this one lasts a little longer so they don't have any left.

My Treo 300 bit the dust last month .. went into a Sprint store .. and in less than 10 minutes came out with another Treo 300. T'was hoping for a 600 .. but no luck.

Negitive on the 600 for the 300, they will take a while to run out, because every time some turns in a 300 that is an other one that can go back out via insurance or warrentee replacement

I just got one and so far the only thing I don't like about it is the flip part. It feels clunky when using it as a phone. Especially if you're used to smaller ones, like I am.

I smell fraud :eek: If you can't afford the phone don't buy it. Stop making it hard for other people who want to be honest. They already raised the premiums on it due to stuff like this.

Forget all of this speculation, I've got your answer. Call lockline (800-584-3666) and give them your name, sprint phone number, and tell them you just bought a Treo 300 from ebay and nuked it in the microwave and you REALLY want a Treo 600 for a replacement. Ask them if they'll do it. They can tell you for sure. :joy:

I just noticed today my 300 is freezing at times. I'll open the cover and it'll say "Please Wait" and won't go away. I have to open and close it a few times to fix it.

Ok, I just took my 3rd 300 to the store. This is the second one that has a fatal error and and really awful battery. Like talk 5 minutes and its dead battery. After waiting 1 hour I find out that the 300 isnt on the list to order. So I say " This is the third time I've checked back and its still not available. So what do we do?" Very politely. The rep beside the girl I was talking to told her that they have to give me a 600. Yes!, I thought to myself. She goes to the back to check to make sure this is correct and comes out with 600, NIB. Instead of coming to me she goes up front and checks in a cabinet. Comes back 5 minutes later with a RECONDITIONED 300 that was up front. Turns out that someone didnt pick it up, so I got stuck with it. I asked " So basically I'm getting someone elses phone that they didnt pick up?" Yes. I dont know about ya'll, but that doesnt seem right to me. So, I'm kinda I'll. And on my 4TH 300. Maybe this one will suck and I will request a 600, or just call Executive Services.

I got second hand treo 300 from a freind about a month ago
and today i went to make a call and "SNAP" went the flip.........................

So now i have this nice looking 2 part phone :P
this appears to be a known defect with this model of phone
since I have ERP I have been told I should be able to take it into a sotre and pay $10 debuctable and get it replaced on the spot?

is this so?....and NO I am not trying to rip off lockline :PPPP

I ask becuase I am disabled and cant really travel 50 miles to the store that easy just to find trhat say call lockline again or do it by mail etc

I don't know about that. The 10.00 would have to go to lockline, I think. So I don't know how that would work out. I still say call lockline and just make a claim. I don't think it would be worth the time and trouble to go to the store and get it replaced.

Yeah, that message gets annoying. Stores don't carry the Treo 300 anymore so I don't know what they would do, the only thing would be to give you a referb treo they have laying around (If they have one) If not, then I donno.

they told me warranty out which takes 3-5 days. That is if your phone is still under warranty. Is it a Lockline replacement? Maybe it still has the original warranty? ##786 to check your warranty unless its a replacement. Call a sprint store in a different area. I had to call one far away cuz none of them answer their phones in San Antonio.

Well, after my most recent replacements screen started to die and the battery bit the dust, they warranty replaced it with a 600. A refurb, which is fine. But it started doing this annoying hum in the earpiece when the screen is on. Anyone else have this issue?

The key is that its cant be insurance, its has to be an in store replacement, as in warranty replacement that you have to pick up at the store.

It's not under warranty... And Lockline does warranty replacements for 10.00. I do not have to deal with the store for this at all.
