So you took it to the Sprint retail store and a tech looked at it and you showed him/her what it does and they still said there is nothing wrong with it? I highly doubt that IF it is as bad as you say they could not find a problem. You have to understand people come in here often asking how they can break their phone and make it look like a real accident. It gets us thinking that there is more to it then most tell us.

You seem a little crazy. Maybe give the phone to someone else to bring into the store and have them try to work it out. The terror? very important? trick them? yeah, that's not going to help your cause in a store.

The screen thing sounds screwy, but usually if you're having problems with web and RL it has something to do with the way your account is set up in the system.

i know it sounds stupid but it only works when it wants to, speaker most of the time sounds scratchy and krinkly, r link wont connect all the time, picture mail works only when certain people send me pics, placing calls only works when its a missed call, somtimes it conects really quick but sometimes it just gets stuck in please wait, also i got alot of dropped calls. . . .
it sounds crazy but its true

If you have to sit in the store for an hour to replicate a problem then do so.

well a friend of mine told me that he nuked his phone by microwaving it and that they gave him a replacement, but i dont want to take that chance in paying for a new phone when my phone is only 2 or 3 months
i guess im in over my head i mean how bad is it if the phone still works sometimes,
thanks guys

It's bad. A phone that does not operate in the manner that is supposed to is "bad"...or is there something else to this? Why do you want to trade a phone (listed in another thread) that you say is great, other then it not working properly?

If the web does not work, and if the Sprint store cannot get it to work, that is a perfectly valid reason to have your phone replaced, I know I have had this done a couple of times.
The nuking will only work for a little while longer, soon Sprint techs will be opening up your phone..

so the nuking thing really wotn do me much justice ? o and why am i trading, i really like the 6000-6200 its one of the coolest phones made for sprint, and plus im not to fond of the camera phone, i might sound crazy but i dont really see the actual need for a camera phone.
if i can get a replacment from sprint i will trade with who ever wants an 8200 for a 6000 or 6200 sanyo. if i dont get it replaced than no trade will be made

Sanyo's 6000 model phones were great but my biggest complaint is that they get VERY hot after just a few minutes of use.

Your best bet if for some reason they don't replace it for you, and if their tech is like ours, they let a lot of stuff slide but they wont replace anything that passes all the operations tests. Trust me, they would rather replace your phone than argue but they can only do that when it fails in front of them or if it fails a test on their system.
You should call lockline and set up replacement on it. Then you pay$4 a month to cover your phone for accidental damage, loss, theft, etc. They send you a new or refurbished phone for a $35 deductible. If your phone is as bad as you say it is though, i have no idea why they just wouldn't replace it.

My Sanyo 6200 lasted 2 years w/o any problems...until recently when the charging plate in it decided to be difficult. I had to position my phone in just the right way, or it wouldn't charge. Talk about weird!

Gald it worked out for you.
My friend has his phone replaced by saying that his phone smelled like ass. I think he sat on the phone for a few days.
The rep took one good sniff at the phone and next thing you know, he got a new phone.

If you have the $4.00/month replacement insurance, all you have to do is say you lost it and you'll get another one. That 's what they do here in CA.

That is cool dude. So can one get lockline for a couple of months and if the phone becomes "lost" you get another one minus the 50 bucks? I am guessing that one can opt out of the 4.00/month afterwards the replacement comes in?
What happens if after you get your new phone, the "lost" phone re-apears again? Will the lost but now found phone be usuable for another line?
Sounds creative. :D

the old fon will always be in lost/stolen status. some lock-line reps request a police report for the lost fon though. so it depends on who ya get.

nice try but posts and ideas like this is why when someone calls lockline to replace their "lost" or " stolen" phones now.. :D he esn's are sent to sprint and those phones are PERMANENTLY deactivated, it might not happen for a couple of weeks but it will happen, makes it bad for the people that genuinely lose te phone and find 10 minutes after hanging up with us but sorry...it will happen.

The old phone will be a nice paperweight. Lock/Line informs Sprint's fraud dept and the fraud dept kills the phone's ESN.
Call Lock/Line and they'll ask for it back, they might even send you an RMA kit.

I was having issues with the battery on my 8100. I explained it over the phone to the CSR, and they promptly RMA'ed it under warranty.
No going into stores for testing, bla bla. the guy just sent me a replacement 8100 (which happened to be new, not refurb), next day air.

Umm, my 8200 is not working properly. I can't exactly pinpoint what it is, everything works fine, but I know there is something wrong with it. I just have the gut feeling. I took it to the Sprint store and they assured me that there is nothing wrong with it. I explained that even thought they can't see what is wrong, there is actually something wrong with it. I have been having problems since I bought out, just can't pinpoint the problem.
Can some please help me on how I can destroy this phone so no one knows it and I can get a new phone. I would appreciate any help. Thanks. I heard something like microwaving it would it, but can they tell?

i think you are bull****ing and just want a new phone, nothing of what you have said makes sence, not just that, but your wanted advice is only on frying the phone, go back to verizon or att, lol.... i know i know, the final comment was not too mature but had to say it. I did not like my old 4900 for being slow, but was a good phone on making calls, why not just sell your phone to someone and get a cheap nokia, stop being a baby and just tryint to get a free phone. unless you phone like mine does not trully work, then get over it and do not ask for accoplice to get you to fry the phone...

But, you dont use Vision so the extra batt life is probably the keeper for you.
