it's a known issue now thanks to me...they're working on a fix for it...in the meantime, go to the store and they will order you a replacement...

I had this problem and took it to a sprint store. after waiting a long time  , they told me they will order a replacement phone. a few days later I went back, and after waiting a long time again :furious: , they gave me new a680 phone. i hope the same thing doesn't happen to this one.

When I do this, it says Reconditioned. Is that Refurbished? If so, I was unaware I was buying a refurbished phone.

What does it mean by "Status No"?

It means that your phone is new and not a refurb.

Nice. When it happened to my phone they said the third party downloads voided the warranty and I had to use lock line. Needless to say, I wont have that problem again. Idiot local reps.

3gforfree ringers have been know to blow out ringers on a wide variety of phones. It really depends on what phone you had and the warranty on that esn of the phone. Sometimes manufactuers may produce a defective batch of phones which would be covered for a specific issue.

It is a known issue within a certain ESN range. With the 680's being discontinued, you might be able to convince the store to put you in another phone...
