Ok listen guys, I'm just wanting to understand for those of you that are on this plan (I think the shack is same is bb).

It says on Sprint's website under my plan:

Third Party Emp with Vision

$15.00 Third Party Employee with Vision
All Minutes Include Long Distance
750 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Mb Of PCS Vision
Caller ID, Call Waiting
Three-way Calling
Voicemai

Then, under the "current" plan (the above is current too, but whatever):

Your Current Plan Option Price (if applicable)

Sprint PCS Equipment Replacement Program $4.00
Sprint PCS Voice CommandSM
Unlimited Sprint PCS VisionSM
Nation Wide Long Distance
Bill Type

Under Upgrade your plan, the only thing of any significance is Roadside Rescue.

This leads one to believe that one gets U/L text, RL, and basically anything else that doesn't show as an "Option," for upgrade. What exactly are we getting, please?

I'm sorry but the curiosity is killing me--not just about how it is now but aren't there changes coming next month?

If you have a 3rd party employee plan (like radioshack) you will get this:

750 anytime minutes standard. NO NIGHTS/WEEKENDS. it's 750 period.
For an extra $10/month, you can throw in 2,000 nights/weekends.

Unlimited vision (internet)
Unlimited Text (SMS)
ReadyLink (PTT)

You cannot add insurance (total equipment replacement) because you are on no contract. You cannot add anything else. No Unlimited PCS to PCS, no Roaming bundle, nothing. But for the money, it's a rediculously good plan.

Cheers :)

actually you can add insurance, i have it on my account and i see the charge every month (this money goes to lockline, not sprint so contract does not matter). you can add unlimited sprint to sprint for $5, you can even get the 7pm option if you do a 2 year agreement (if you lose your employee plan you have to continue service on a regular plan). the ONLY thing you can NOT get is roaming (yet) or add-a-phone on the plan. right now you also get unlimited dls from sprint, although i hear that will not continue. the new plan will supposedly give you 1000 anytime mins for $20 and a $10 credit for downloads.

I've got the higher 3rd party plan - the 3000 min for $25, and I do have roaming. The one thing I'm not sure of is if this is available to all 3rd party dealers, or just those in my indirect channel. We also have a $15-750 plan available to us, but that just ain't enough minutes for me! :hee:

If it is the same, you can add insurance (as stated above) and roaming. I've got $5 F&C America on my plan. And, we can have UNL N&W for $10, 7pm for the extra $5 and a 2yr contract. Also, we've got some ridiculous amount of Vision (don't think it's unlimited, but might as well be), free pic, free video, free TV, free BCPE, UNL RL, UNL text/sms, free Voice Command, and FIMF. With our channel you can add any of these things to either plan, so you might wanna check into some of them.

Ok, that all sounds right. The U/L downloads actually do count against you (as far as bill balance) until the actual billing time, where they add credits equal to your download (subscriptions also) debits.

So, if you have an ASL, you may want to pay a month or two ahead. At these prices, who's complaining. And I have confirmed that as long as you are actually bringing in a referral from outside your store, you can do your referral credit, for up to one year, $20 a pop.

All good in the 3rd party neighborhood. I'm 32 now, nothing I say sounds cool.

Question about that; since the plan is changing, do all of our plans change or are we left with the terms we signed up under? (For examply, free d/l's will discontinue even if they were present when you signed up? No grandfathering?)

Actually you CAN add unlimited PCS-PCS. A couple of my Shack friends have added it.

I'm not actually a sprint store employee, but I heard from them that they get everything for free. Don't quote me until someone else confirms that. Ask Deval (Forum Contributor).

I'm a few steps away from signing up for the 3rd party employee plan, and now that I just read that ALL VISION IS FREE... I can't form my joy into words. I don't know if there is anything else to look forward to. I'm going to have to pick up the MM-A700 and make obscene use of it.

There still is the little nagging thought that they might change the plan before I get it. No one reading has any hard facts on that?

Is the plan changing for everyone here as well?

Please, please..is there a way around it? I like having unlimited N & W @ 7. Under the new plan, I'll be paying $5 a month more, but only having 1000 night and weekend minutes, although I'll be gaining 250 minutes a month. Sounds good, and it may help me, but I need my UNL @ 7.

Yes you are eligible but I don't know what the new 3rd party plan entails; there's a 100 theories about it. My regional sprint rep. told me at an expo. tonight that the plan is $20 for 1000 AT minutes and available 2000 N&W minutes for $10 more. I don't know about d/ls, rl, tv, etc.

Sprint store reps are worthless imo (no offensive). They don't know how to work the codes for the most part, or are just plain lazy and don't want to bother. Best thing to do is just have them set up your account with the 750 daytime with NO n/w minutes with long distance included and then note the account that you have the authority to make changes on it.

You can then just have a rep add unlimited n/w for $5

These new plans blow imo, and don't even come close to what I have now. They are just a lame attempt for Sprint to minimize cell traffic during off peak hours, and rake in more money without making it obvious.

Think about it, what's more important to you: You're minutes at 3pm in the afternoon? Or at nightime?

right on, I think I like this plan better anyway...they've switched a couple of my non-contract coworkers to your plan already but they can't touch me...

There is NO WAY I would ever use 3000 minutes, esp with free mobile to mobile. Give me 500 minutes and free text and I'll be happy lol...

How long do you have to be an employee there to be eligible?

I have a friend who is thinking of working for RS...how does he go about getting one of the plans once he's there?

must work for rs for 30 days ... then contact your local sprint rep and ask for the paperwork for the 3rd party plan... fill it out and fax it to sprint... along with the esn for your phone... and 4-5 days later you'll be contacted with your OTKSL

see? exactly...we have to already have the phone, or provide our own, or buy it outright from sprint or radioshack. no rebates, no phone discounts besides our 10% off the outright prices at RS.

Be careful though because when they switched Me over from a regular account to a My employee account they wiped out My whole picturemail account online with no explanation.
6 years worth of pictures gone just like that.
Not saying it will always happen but I know it happened to Me and they said it was because I switched to an employee account.

Josh:
I pay for 7pm nights because I use about 2800 daytime minutes and 3500 N&W minutes and 1000 PCS2PCs minutes per month so I need it.
