That sucks no ones replied since oct. Ive been looking like mad to find one that works for the vm4500 and havent had any luck. My hitachi g 1000, has a few but they all suck unless you spend $30 or more. I only use it for mud games, so if anyone knows of one id really id really appreciate it.

Tried MuTelnet? PM your number and I can send it through my uploader to your handset. Been using it for a while to log into my linux server from time to time to check on things from work.

Cool Synergy I got it thanks again. Its only problem is it wont connect arter a few minutesand i have to restart it. any ideas on a fix?

Don't have that problem. Have another app that I don't care for because it is awkward using if you want to try that one. Just got back from sprint swapping my A620 for the A740 so have to load it back up.

LOL...actually, I do both. Have one server I have to check on that doesn't have SSH but my Linux server does of course and use floydSSH from the handset to log into it.

Im new to the whole thing. Whats the difference between the two? Is telnet just the connection or have do do with the applications themselves? As i said im fresh so if its a stupid question humor me. :)

One word: Security. SSH stands for Secure SHell.

With Telnet, you are more hackable.

If im just using it as a connection to a mud server for text based games from my G1000 or cell, do i still need to worry about the security? In other words what does that make me vulnerable to?

The difference is that with telnet, your information is passed to the server in clear text. In SSH, it is an encrypted connection.
