I received this postcard a few days ago. I'm sure some of you might already read it. Please reply with any thoughts and details of your plan.

As for me, I'm sharing on the $105 plan, signed up approx April 2003. Has 2000 unlimited shared, free and clear America plan, free add a phone, free vision for both phones, free RL on first phone ONLY, NO more free VM now, Unlimited SMS, Unlimited nites at 9pm. It’s really a good deal, especially because we share the cost. Anyways, now back to the postcard. I'm first reaction was, ***. Sprint is trying to make more money now. They are stating that as noted above, there was a billing error and are now charging, if we want it, picture mail. I called a CSR, she stated that it was a $5 fee for the 2nd phone, which has vision, but wasn't set up for the picture mail feature. I just think its all BS. The $100 plans, as most know, back in the days included VISION for free, so what gives now? They are trying to make us pay for it, kinda forcing it on us. I asked the CSR, was this really a billing error or was it Sprint changing their mind about how they gave out service. She said that it wasn't really a billing error, but more like Sprint doesn't offer that promotion anymore. Soooooo, guess what, all of us with old plans, will have to suffer too. Yeah, it was nice to have free vision on the $100, which was one of the main reasons for getting such a high plan, knowing that it would save some money. I also asked how much was readylink on a 2nd phone, they said $10 bux. I was ***, way too much on a 2nd phone, I could understand $5, since we already have vision if I could make case to that =). I know Sprint doesn't offer free vision anymore on plans greater then $100, just free add a phone. This is still nice, but I do use picture mail every now and then. From what I was understanding when I initially signed for the free vision, was that I was going to receive it with the vision picture pack, which I did get, but how they are going to charge me for the picture pack on the 2nd line, not vision.

Any comment on this matter would be great. Thanks for hearing me out =). Oh yeah, I'm new to this forum and wanted to reg after reading this post. I was looking around a bit, to see if there were any post on the postcard that was sent out. I was lucky enough to stumbled on that post. I thought I would also start a new thread with this matter also, since I think this should be address to everybody that received this postcard. Later.

I also recieved one of these cards and have the same plan as you. It took me 4 months to get my plan and billing straightened out when I started out on this account back in Dec. 03 and now this happens. I have talked to 4 different cs reps. and just got off the phone with another one which claims he put picture mail back on for free. I don't think this is the end of this problem, but I will just have to wait and see what happens next. From the looks of this card, I didn't think I was the only one that got one.

No, not yet. I will call them again to see if they could add Vision with Picture Pack on one of my other line. Because online right now, the main # has only ReadyLink. Thats it. For the 2nd line, it has Vision with Picture Pack. I think when I first started, before ReadyLink was introduced, I had both acct saying Vision with Picture Pack I think. When I added ReadyLink, I think the CSR only place it has ReadyLink, not vision with ReadyLink. I will give them a try later and will post here with an update.

Here is the email I received back after questioning the same postcard:

Thank you for contacting Sprint.

I am not making any modification on your account. Please ignore the
postcard that you have received.

Have a great day.

Please do NOT make any changes to my account right now. Im trying to
understand why I've had pic mail included on my account since I first
signed up for sprint, which has been well over two years, and now I'm being sent a postcard that says I will be charged for it?

I was told that I had a legacy code/historical code and the free pic
mail was built in to the plan. I dont want to switch vision packs because I
will lose other benefits related to legacy codes; however, I would like to
retain the benefits I was originally signed up for and have been receiving. I
realize some of the newer codes have changed, but is there anyway I can retain my original plan and NOT incur the extra charge associated with picture mail?

Again, please DO NOT make any changes to my account at this time.

Thank you very much for your time.

...and my reaction was exactly the same...why are they starting to charge me for something NOW that I was promised free on my level of plan. After enough calls to CS I simply gave up. I was not even going to have PM on my account but then I thought I do use it occasionally and $5 is not that much so I accepted the charge and added it back. Luckily, someone I know mentioned he had the same problem and was able to get it resolved so he contacted his contact at SPCS who actually called me back (I was very impressed). The last I was told is a 5% credit will be applied to my account to offset the cost. I will update upon receipt of my next bill whether this is in fact the case.
