It's obvious to me why she's gone punk-ugly...a) she's Jessica Simpson's little sister b) she's on the uber-wholesome family show called 7th Heaven. She wants to seperate herself from both.

In terms of talent, well she's alright. She's also 19 and with few exceptions do 19 year old rich girls have anything to say that I can relate to...but hey, someone relates to her because her album, Autobiography, went platinum in its first week.

Just you wait, though, because pretty soon people will stop asking about her sister and asking her what makes her different from Avril...and she'll have to say "righteous American anger as opposed to played-out Canadian anger."

Someday she'll look back on this period in her life (and by someday I mean five years from now) and realize how silly it all looked and pretend this never happened.

But by then it will be too late to give Avril her schtick back, unless they end up in rehab together.

As a straight woman who can appreciate beauty, I think Jessica Simpson is too plastic for my taste...like if she stood too close to a flame she would melt. Very artificial...much in the same vein as Britney, IMO.

Of course her ditziness (real or put on) is quite a turnoff.

egh, I'd say you're half right. Consider that when you usually see her it's on tv, or in a vdeo or whatever... but actually I think she's pretty natural looking...check the photo...slight imperfections like her front teeth, funky chin and such. She's had her nose worked on a bit, but it useta be pretty damn big so thats not a bad thing.

Best breasts in showbiz tho...I'll say that much.

IMO to me she still looks plasticky and fake...it's not really to do with any work done on her. I've seen photos of her at 16 before she hit it big. I'm not sure how to explain it, I just think that if you let her get to close to a flame, she'd melt. She has this icky, artificially flavored sugary sweet fakeness about her appearance. I sometimes think that if she were food she would put me into convulsions with her high sugar content...

I loathe Ashlee Simpson. She's about as punk rock as N'Stink and about as interesting to watch as C-span. She has no singing talent, isn't that attractive, and pretty much has had everything thrown at her since her sister is famous. Her show pretty much is about her having other people do work for her to make her famous since she has never performed before and pretty much sucks at life.

The worst thing is how MTV has been cramming her down viewers' throats ever since she came about. Just another reason for me to stop watching MTV...

I think Jessica Simpson is more interesting to watch, whines less, and can actually sing.
