You cant exchange a phone you bought at Costco at a Sprint store unless it is defective....and they send you one under the DHRP guidelines...then the esn doesnt match with Costco and you lose your lifetime warranty.....Catch 22

CostCo doesn't always throw in an extended battery. I got one when I bought my Samsung A620, but not when I bought the Toshiba VM4050. IIRC the Sanyo 8200 is also on the short end of the stick, but you might want to ask the Sprint PCS Rep at the store to be sure.

Actually the A620 (aka VGA1000) was the only phone in which Costco provided you an extra battery (by mail I might add). None of the other phones that Costco has sold in the recent past (last 2yrs) did they give you an extra battery, by mail or otherwise. The Sanyo 5300 came with an extra battery, but it did that no matter where you bought it from.
Hope that helps. Enjoy your new phone.
Which carrying case did you get? Plastic holster? Neoprene pouch? Leather pouch? Leather flip case? or other? I have now seen them all, I was just curious (most come with the plastic holster).

I just bought the 8200 at costco. It comes with the plastic holster, car charger, and the hands free earbud all for $199.99. I went to bestbuy and bought the body glove flip case.

When I bought my A500 at costco it came with the free extended battery. This was just under two years ago though.

Weird...I bought my A500 from costco too but it didn't come with a free extended battery.
For me it was a free extended battery from Samsung (not Costco). I went to the website, registered the phone, and they sent me the battery.
That's not what you did?

Was this price including a rebate or some sort of instant saving because of a new costomer? If not, that is a HELL of a deal. I got mine for $280 and got nothing extra. Mine is blue, but I would consider taking it back for the silver one for the cheaper price.

That price is BEFORE rebate. Me and my fiance are getting 1 each when we reach our 18 months next weekend.
Net price should be $199 - 150 - <sale of A500>

Yeah, I forgot about the A500. But again that wasn't a Costco thing. The early runs of the A500 had that coupon in it but it was "while supplies last." Until now, I had never met anyone who had actually got one, so that's cool. I received a letter after mailing it in that said something like "Thanks for your interest but that promotion is no longer running." (bought mine around December '02).
Good catch though guys.

What is costco? We don't have any of those here down south my way. It sounds like a great place to get discounts.

Warehouse Club. Sort of like Sam's Club. Requires an annual membership.... I believe $45? Maybe slightly lower.
