ok, i've finally gotten all my files fixed and back online. some of you are already familiar with it. ive gotten a dns that i have complete control over, so i dont have to worry about IP changes messing up the server anymore. the address is:

now remember, this site will ONLY work when accessed from your default web browser on your sprint vision device. if you try to use WebViewer or a similliar app, your probably wont be able to connect; if you try to access it from your pc, it will not work.

If any of you watch JUSTICE LEAGUE then you saw an epp. were John Stuwart said the Green lantern oath while absorbing the power of the main GL battery. @kizman- some do, but i don't remember which do and which don't. i think it may also depend on the phone

snood is 106kb, splinter cell is 128kb. both are too big for the 8100 i think, i think like around 80-90 or so was the biggest ive seen downloadable for the 8100, but i'm not sure about that number

those 2 files were messed up, they are fixed now. clear your phone's cache and try them again.
the weater channel app expires after like 14 days, it then has to be deleted and re-downloaded

Okay, I restarted the browser and pulled battery to clear the cache still a no go! When I click the game it starts the download screen on the phone: DOWNLOAD IN PROGRESS; LOADING BAR- 0 of 56kb then it hangs up for 3 mins then a flag pops ups on the phone screen: NETWORK TIME OUT next is INSTALL FAILED?

the filesize is actually 115175 bytes, maybe the phone just reads 1000 bytes per 1kb instead of 1024 bytes per 1kb

Yeah, the 8100 file size is 90 kb to download! The 5500 and 8200 have larger heap memory for 100+ kb files.

I own an 8100 and typed it into the url and sent it to the phone and got the samr response.

My site technically isn't a WAP site. I wrote is with plain 'ol basic HTML. The size is very minimal, less than 10mb, and the transfer bandwidth is probably around 10 to 15mb per day

Once again thanks but now thanks to you I cant decide which one of those GL rings to use(heh hehe). I hope my indorsment eared some cool points because I have one last request if possible. Do you watch DragonballZ, cause if you do on the Garlic Jr. tapes they played a Trunk preview and that aside from the Vegeta theme they play when he shows up has to be the best American DBZ music they have made. So, and I promise my last request, can you get that Trunks theme for me? Feel free to say no you have done more than enough for me but if you can then just texted it to me. By the wayI have to ask, how in the world did you get those GL rings? I looked everywhere on the net and the closest I found was some old stuff from the old Superfriends show. Hell I havent even been able to find the new GL symbol sported by Kyle Raynor yet but I will sooner or later. I think I am more surprised that you got it so fast cause same day service is rare these days.
For the GL ringers, i just ripped the audio track from the episode, and then made the ringes from that. I don't really follow DBZ, but if you can try to find and episode number or title, i'll see if i can come up with anything

Quick question.
I tried to DL the Splinter Cell game a few times today and I keep getting a "Data Error 901 - insufficient memory" error. I have 698 KB free on my phone(PM8200). How big is this game? Is it not supported on my phone?
BTW, it would be cool if you could also include the sizes of files on your site. I don't know how much trouble that would be since I don't have much experience with creating WAP sites, but it would be pretty easy with most HTML sites. Just a suggestion.

For some reason, my version of splinter cell works on very few phones, so that could explain your error. However, the file is 128kb, so that may be to big for that phone anyways

Man I just tried to find it all over the Internet and no damn luck so far. So if anyone reading this can find the preview song for Trunks played on the Garlic Jr. tapes I would be thankful if you posted them here so that it can be converted into a ringtone. Good luck. For all who read this and are DBZ fans you may remember a site called planetnamek.com. Sad to say they are gone now but I heard that there is a site just like it and that is where I first saw that preview before the tapes came out.

the most important factor was one you didnt mention in the post. you are using bellsouth, not sprint. this is from my original thread-

Is there any possible way to upgrade memory to store more ringers, screensavers, applications, and games? By the way, I have a Sanyo 5500 and a Sanyo 8200. Both are very good phones. Sanyo 5500 can store up to 1.5MB of memory and I have less than 25K left.

On your 4920, when you put the zip code it, you have to press the menu/ok button and you can enter it in. Took me some time to figure it out. Sprint says the weather app won't work on the phone, but thanks to Visionsamaritan, I can run it again! Hope it works for you.

if thats not what you meant, mp3 files and deadringer files are exactly the same thing, i just created separate folders for the mp3s that are songs and the mp3s that are just oddball stuff, like the mail mother****er ringer

I believe the mp3 section is still qcp format files, not actual mp3 files...
Unfortunately, my knowledge ends once i can help get the ringer/image/app/game downloaded to the phone. From the feedback i've gotten so far, splinter cell doesn't work on most phones, snood is the second worst as far as phone compatility. Sorry i couldn't be more help on this issue

Splinter cell, snood, and xxx are the 3 least compatible files due to them each being over 100kb. If you are having trouble getting any other files to your phone, let me know which ones, and i'll get it fixed for you

I'm not sure what people are typing for the URL on their phone, but the mistake i ran into was that i put in http://www.visionsamaritan.homeip.net. it's not supposed to have the www so for those who aren't getting the site, double check this. hope this helps some of you.

this particular file has me stumped. i even re-wrote a new jad directly from the jar manifest, and couldnt get it to download. the only think i can think of off the top of my head is that maybe the game just isnt compatible. are there any other games you are having trouble with, or just this one?

i was actually pretty lucky, i never lost power, just the cable. they got everything back online, so the site should be working again.
I LOVE the site!!! I hope you keep adding games and stuff to it and let us know when you do!
FYI, My 8200 works with Splinter Cell AND xXx so I don't know why other 8200 users said they had issues with them ... however, Snood doesn't work for me either, so it must not be compatible like you were saying.

Might be a dumb question, but I tried d/ling Splinter Cell last night on my VM4500 phone and it said insufficient mem on my phone- I deleted some programs [demo ones on the phone] and have over a meg in avail. space. Is there something I'm doing wrong? TIA!

i dont know about a jpg viewer, but the weather channel app lets you zoom in and out of the dopplar radar map with the # and * keys

How do you make WAP sites like this? I got a free for 3 years 500meg w/ 5gig a month transfer site that I really dont use except to host the ocassional file or whatever. I wouldn't mind starting something like this.

I was going to write a WAP mirror for my website http://www.otaku-elite.com (yeah I know there's nothing on it, and right now the only design up there works ONLY in internet explorer... this I call IE growing pains, moving out of IE into the real internet work, if you want to see some of my experimental layouts check out: http://www.otaku-elite.com/3/ ) so anyway I was going to make a mirror for mobile-only users as well as write a display stylesheet just for hand held devices, so the main page can still be viewed from the phone. But I wanted a WAP section of the site to use the official WML crap that seems to make no sense... heheh. I was also going to modify the CMS (content management system) I was writing for my site and edit it so I can access from my phone and upload pictures straight from my phone (if anyone knows if direct uploading is possible, please tell me - if not I have to write an e-mail program or something to intercept e-mails with the images I send to myself and post them that way).
If you're interested I wouldn't mind if you hosted a mirror site. But at least this way we could learn WAP web designing + programming together and it would be a lot easier. ^_^

On my 8200 it's just left, right, up, down, and OK. Left and right move, up jumps in the direction you're facing, down make you crouch down, and OK shoots in the direction you're facing. ;)

New to the site, been working with a friend on building our own site. I have made a ton of my own ringers, because, quite frankly, the ones that are available on most sites, stink. I was wondering, however, if you are using php to write your own site or sticking with the original xml mark up.
Also I was looking on this site, there is a modification that has to happen when setting up files for download. I am digging through that, is there anything I might want to keep my eyes out to avoid?
Any help would be nice.
I have, on my game clan's site, a wap page, atm no content, but that will be released in the next revision.

What seems to be the problem? (are you getting any "error" messages? is it just not loading? [page could not be found] or anything like that)?

No but thanks I am looking for the american song. It is hard to find. I used to have it some years ago but the site I got it from planetnamek.com is gone. It is a short video and all its says is Trunks every few seconds and has a small bit of speaking by Trunks( and yelling).

Thanks for the well wishes, everything is pretty much back to normal since charley. As far as those ringers, i wasn't able to find either. If someone else can post a link to either, i could then put them on my site. btw, i liked that subliminal messages link, i even saved the file

This song is about 5 mins long what do you want to do with it? Since, like it says in the QCP making thread in FAQ section, after 30 seconds it goes to voicemail. WHICH 30 seconds would you like? Personally I think the midi files are clearer since they don't need to be downsampled (can you downsample a midi anyway?)

nope those all came out when I was a big weenie with horror flicks. I saw The Witches movie and had a bad dream which somehow associated the PC Richard's whistle jingle with some manevolent dark force and the dream gave me the creeps. But then again none of my dreams make sense, and they don't have to to give you the chills. lol...

If you want to see something funny you will love this. Make sure to expand your screen or you will miss what it tells you to do. And make sure the volume is at a bit over half. I can even click the link from this site and see it on my computer.. maybe you mistyped it? check spelling and sometimes websites (depending on what os they're running) can be case-sensitive so www.mywebsite.com/mypage could be different than saying www.mywebsite.com/MyPaGe or www.mywebsite.com/MYPAGE

if you are referring to my site, i just use standard HTML, since all sprint vision phone browsers can handle it. it just makes it easier

i just create gcd files for each file that i want downloaded. then i just link to the gcd file from my site, and that automatically starts the download of the actual ringer or picture

You might have to add the mime types. I think I posted them in a thread called "The DIY Everything-to-Know-About-Your-Phone Kit"
mAke sure you are not entering www in the URL. If that isn't the case, just PM me your number and i'll send the link as a text message to you so i can watch the server logs and get you fixed up
i got on last night visionsamaritan. THANK YOU SO MUCH for offering your assistance. i dunno what happened. At about 1 AM i was able to connect to it (i'm on the west coast so that's 4 to you) but i was able to try out a lot of the stuff... quite remarkable i must say, thank you for your time and effort.
not to sound ungrateful for what you've already place on there, but has yourself or someone tried the regwireless programs on a A700? i just got the phone yesterday (had to ditch the treo 600 - horror story, had to have it replaced 5 times) and i just heard about these programs, any opinions?

Hey Sprint peeps, I tried splinter cell on my vm4500 and it didnt work but...now i got the a700 and splinter cell works! It doesn't take up the whole screen. The game is great. Thanks visionsamaritan. i love you. btw, at first i tried playing and noticed that you must use the number pad to play splinter cell. i cant use the regular pad.

those 2 files were messed up, they are fixed now. clear your phone's cache and try them again.
the weater channel app expires after like 14 days, it then has to be deleted and re-downloaded
Would you consider making the jar/ja... file available for download
to a PC? I'd be interested in looking at the java code to see how
it works and what sites are being accessed.

The first two games are .jar files, and the third one is a .sis file. Can the .sis file be converted so that we can play it on our phones? I have a PM-8200 myself.

email me the 2 jar files at jhorne03@cfl.rr.com and ill write the jads myself and see if i can get them to work. as far as sis files, i looked around for a while at one point and couldnt find a way to convert to jar format to get it to our phones

Hey guys, can I pull games OFF of my phone to my PC? I have an older version of Snood on my Sanyo 4900, and the USB data cable for it (I used if for MINIMAL laptop internet usage). If there is a way to pull this game off, then I can give it to Visionsamaritan to post for everyone to use. I believe that the version on his site is 2.0, and mine was like 1.0. Either way, it worked just fine on my 4900, but the one on this site doesn't work on my new phone (Sanyo 8200). Anyway, if there is some program that will allow me to pull this stuff off, let me know.
I know bitpim allows you to pull the games off some of the samsungs, but i'm not sure about with sanyo
