Just found this on my daily fcc site checks, this appears to be the lg phone coming out for sprint. Supposedly a slider =]

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=430737&native_or_pdf=pdf

the Sharp phone on the fcc site is awesome looking too bad Sharp doesn't do the US.

I would have to say that this is definitely the phone coming to Sprint. I've heard of talk of the LG 535 being the phone and sure enough, this is the LG LX535.

Here are some pictures from the FCC documents.

Good eyes, I noticed that as well however I didn't want to name the thread anything stating that I had proof or somthing. All things in the wireless industry are subject to change.

Looks sweet..... if it's as good as the other LG that just came out (based on what people are saying) we have a winner!

ever since Sprint changed their testing system since last fall, we haven't got a really bad phone

From the looks of this phone it is simaler to the internal document that was posted and removed and it is supposedly a Megapixal camera, AAC Ringers, Mp3, a 176x220 display, and a Memory card slot sounds pretty cool to me.

Lemme take a looksee doubt it will mention it though. I'm reading the specs right now.. its tri mode =]

dont see any mentions of bluetooth, at first i was pretty confident that it had it, but now im nearly positive it doesnt.

This phone looks sweet...finally we are getting something from sprint that is DIFFERENT than all the boring flips. Nice big screen as well. Would it be possible to answer the phone without flipping up the slider? That would be cool. It will be a tough call for me between this, the a700, and the 5600 :D .

When is this supposed to come out? I never had a slider before, it's neat cause it's different than the all to common flips. Yet better than a candy bar phone, I hate those.

Where's the sprint logo? I must have bad eyes.

Can anyone state the advantages of a slider over a flip? Other than being "cool," I don't see what they've got over the flips.

i'd say just because it's cool. i don't think there are any real advantages.

Is there typically a button that automatically slides it open, or do you have to manually slide it?

When Verizon picked up Kyocera's flip phone a few months ago, I looked at that and said, wow, cool. I elbowed my husband and said, hey, you need a new phone (he has an LG VX10, an absolutely boring little phone with the worst ringer and vibrate functions ever). At first he was like, hey that is cool, but when he saw it up close he was not at all hip to it. Dang, I thought. I was so hoping to test out the slider phone. LOL.
This has to be the first phone I've been excited about in about five months. I don't think I'd give up my VM4500 for it (I'm reaaaaallllly attached to it) but when it comes time to replace it, this LG slider would be fun to try out. My very first cell phone was an LG and it was a workhorse and I parted with it only because it died.

I may actually put this little guy on my wish list of stuff I should buy after I buy a dining room set.

Manually

That ineternal sheet is not going to be accurate at all. They're just rushing phones out for the relaunch of Vision

Man I don't know what to do!

I need a new cell phone ASAP but I don't want to get one only to have wished I waited a lil bit longer..

I have T-Mobile now, and it's just not cutting it anymore coerage wise, I moved.. and theres nothing around here.

I either have to go with Cingular, Nextel, or Sprint for the most part..

I want to go with Sprint, but I don't know what to do with all these new phones coming out soon.. I am trying to wait for the 1mp audiovox, but who knows when its actually gonna come out.. otherwise I'll just get an 8200..

Jaggrey
06-18-2004, 12:31 PM
So get the 8200 :p It's a great phone, unless you NEED a 1mp camera like you NEED a new cell ASAP :p

Dinozero
06-18-2004, 12:36 PM
No, naturally the cell is more important than the features. I do need a new phone pretty soon though.. it's my main form of contact..

But I don't have a digital camera, and if i could kill two birds with one stone, it'd be a lot nicer. I hate buying something to have it replaced within the next month or so.. I know it happens eventually, but I like to get a gadget when it's new that way its life is longer.

If this LG takes pictures like the LG that is coming to verizon (it's a megapixel maybe the 7000 or 8000 not too sure) than that would be great because I saw pictures taken with that phone on Hofo and the pictures looked great for a camera phone.

The LX535 is not a Bluetooth phone. The LX325 is the new LG slider with Bluetooth ,at least according the the FCC acceptance letter here:

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/tcb/reports/Tcb731GrantForm.cfm?mode=COPY&RequestTimeout=500&application_id=819599&fcc_id=BEJLX325

This is also a sprint phone according to the User's Guide here:

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=440220&native_or_pdf=pdf

And here's some photos:

https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=440190&native_or_pdf=pdf

Personally, I think the 325 looks better than the 535.

The 325 looks craptacular......I hate the sunken screen. I like the 535 better, even w/o Bluetooth. I'll buy a bluetooth phone when I buy a car w/ Bluetooth, cause that's the only way I'll utilize it. I don't like using headsets.

Hmmm, hopefully LG can make better consumer products now than when they were "Goldstar".

Phone looks cool, but I'm holding on to my 5500 until I'm eligible for a rebate - August, 05. :)

Of course, the 5600, when it comes out, could be just so unbelievably sexy I just HAVE to have it, and screw a rebate... :D

I DO think my next phone will be a smartphone, though.

It's interesting, a few months back it seemed like sprint was falling way behind with regards to innovative phones because the other carriers were announcing megapixel phones and such. But now, sprint will likely have 2, 1 megapixel cam phones out before any of the other carriers have one! If the LG turns out to be a decent phone with no major problems I might be interested in it just for the sliding form factor.

No question about it, other carriers talk big game about high end phones but only one US carrier delivers.

I will be buying 325 (bluetooth one). There is no such thing as a 'sunken' display. This form factor has been in Asia for almost 2 years - so it must work fine.

eh....i dont know what to make out of LG. Both phones look pretty nice. I also dont get too excited about anything that is coming out until i actually hold it in my hands. Sprint has 2 1+MP camera phones out right now. The MM-A700 and PM8920. Neither are all that special, though they are nice none the less. I was more excited before I saw them. It all looks good on our screens...but I'm more of a wait and see person.

It looks like this phone is close to being offered. I saw it in a Radio Shack Flyer the other day. I was told it should be out in a few weeks. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything more about this. This will probably my next phone. My T608 needs to retire.

Not to mention, this is not a logical replacement for the T608. The LG 325 has bluetooth, this is not the 325.
