Has anyone tried both phones - and can compare the two? I'm mainly interested in sound quality, reception, and battery life. Don't plan on using Vision, so that isn't a factor (since the LG has it, and the Moto doesn't).

Thanks.

From the photos I've seen around, LG is likely the bigger phone of the two...

I dig. But coming from a Timeport, both phones should be smaller. ;)

I'm just looking for a phone that sounds as good as my Timeport does, has solid reception, and has a decent battery. I do like the fact that the LG doesn't have an external antenna. Very sleek.

I've heard good things about the sound/reception combo about the moto v60, toshiba 4050, and the samsung 680

Sound is great - battery life is poor

i wonder why that is, since the screen is lo-res and it doesn't have RL or a camera. hmmm...

Maybe it has to do with the internal antenna - I purchased the ext. battery and I like the way the phone feels with the larger battery on it - its still samall and light enough to fit in my pocket and feels more sturdy in the hand - also the 5+ hour talk time was a seller for me.

The V60v is actually bulkier than the LG

Get the 5225 phone. Good reception and its proven itself. V60v hasnt been widely used and althought the v60's have proven themselves as good phones you're paying the extra 50 bucks just for the motorola name minus vision.

The V60v is a pretty fat phone...

If your going to go with the lg 5225, plan to purchase the ext batt, the original that comes with flux too much will be done to one bar after 20 min convo and just chargin it, then when your ready to place on the charger it back up to 3 bars, ***!!!, other than that i love my phone!!!!!

I dont think any other phone that sprint offers looks as elegant and sexy as the v60v...sleek and sophisticated. I'm still hard pressed to find a phone as functional and as good quality in terms of earpiece, and voice quality. If you can live without vision and a camera, there is no better phone out there.

Can I ask why only these phones? I would personly reccomend a Sanyo over either of these too. Like the 7300....

Otherwise I would probably vote for the V60v, part it is based on my fear of the Lg 5350, such a bad phone, it really turned me off of LG. I just don't think their reception is that high.

The timeport and Startacs are just in a breed of their own, I don't think you will find something their equal.

Well, the 5225 isn't your typical LG. :) It's a really awesome phone, everything about it is just great, save for the screen, which isn't the best, but it's a low end phone.

Samsung VI660 doesn't compare to the LG 5225. I wouldn't pay all that money for the V60v just because it has Motorola stamped on it, sorry.

I like my LG vi5225, it seems to work for me. I guess the only drawback was the lack of holster, it fits in my pocket alright but well...I like my holster, any suggestions for that? I cant have a camera phone so the LG seems to be powerful enough, no complaints yet about the battery as well...I have gone for days without charging it...I also dont you know talk for hours at a time on it.

Stay with the LG

So far my LG 5225 has been great. I havent had any problems with it for the week that Ive had it. Battery life is great, I have had 1 or 2 dropped calls so far which isnt bad compared to my A460. Last night I was getting service inside a buddys apt where my other friends with a VGA1000 didnt get service. I really like the external white backlight, reminds me of my iPod.
