This dual-band phone has a color screen, external callerID, voice-activated dialing, etc. This handset is voice only so it will not work with PCS Vision.

Hmm... Under 'Features' it says Vibrant Full-Color Screen

Looks as if the part that is not in color is the external callerID.

Personally, I think that a black and white LCD outside display is a big plus. It allows much greater contrast without the use of a backlight, thus saving battery life for when the phone is actually open. Also, the horizontally oriented outside display allows the incoming number to be displayed larger than it would be on a squarish outside screen. The smaller area of the outside display also allows a case to cover more of the phone.

The very hi-tech Sony Z-600 GSM phone has an outside display just like this, and for the very same reasons. It makes much more sense.
