Once upon a time, checking your monthly account usage was airtime-free by dialing *4 on your Sprint PCS handset. This was recently changed so that the call would deduct minutes from your monthly allowance. As of today, Sprint has gone back to their original ways and is now offering this service airtime-free once again.

Seems Sprint is doing everything right to keep T-Mobile from overtaking their position. Hey, I'm feelin it!

You can also call *2 and say "account usage" for the same information. *4 is faster though. Sprint used to offer *4 for free than about a year and a half ago they started charging airtime usage for *4, which now they made it free again.

that's good to hear. i used to check my usage through a landline phone to avoid any charges..
